Laugh or not, this sort of thing means we have to reduce our silly mistakes if we want to go through those games without 3-5 losses. We are going to have to hope for a lot of improvement from the rest of our team.

I'm sorry, but have you ever been diagnosed with partial blindness? I have a 9 page thread, on the front page of this forum, that is as optimistic as anything on this sight. Crazy optimistic in fact.

Carl Hall's loss will definitely hurt our team, because he is our best player so far. We have to hope the rest of our team steps up against Southern Miss and UNI, and hopefully he'll be back by the Creighton/Illinois State games. If not, we will be in trouble. That isn't pessimism, but realism. We could realistically be 14-5 with 2 conference losses by the end of that stretch, which would really hurt our at-large chances.

Hoping Lufile and Orukpe can step it up and for no more injuries.

I'm sorry. I'll personally go to the athletic department and apologize for bullying them on a fan forum. I didn't realize the incredible power I had.

And BTW, I continued posting positive things in that thread after the Tennessee game. I am still posting positive things in that thread. I think the problem is that you are taking my comments WAY too personally. For some reason, you think that me commenting that one very specific aspect of our team is hurting our ability to win is akin to committing high treason against you and university. You are taking a thread about a very special player getting injured and turning it into an attack against a fairly new poster to the forum.

Nothing I have said has been derogatory towards our program, our coach, or our players. Do I believe we do some things that could hurt our chances to win games? Absolutely. But saying those things on an internet forum is not an attack against our team. The fact of the matter is, we do need to do some things better against quality competition, and this injury just means that we have less margin for error. But that doesn't change the fact that I root for our team every time they go on the court, regardless of whether we are contending for the MVC championship or are last in the conference.

I was very critical of the teams performance on Thursday. I have just learned not to let every emotion I feel spill onto this forum. There is nothing wrong with critiquing the team, in fact it is one of the main purposes for a forum. You just took a noticeable shift in attitude following one game. It makes you look fickle in regards to your opinion of the team. Keep doing your thing, I get it. It's your opinion and this is the internet, it can't be wrong.
