He just needs to read some of KenPOms articles about how hard it is to be perfect.

The sh*t is getting a bit tiresome, even for a realist like me. You can't play perfect basketball 30 games a year. We have fouling issues. I've acknowledged that. However, teams that overcome their weaknesses and still win are what counts. WSU has done this at least 9 times out of 10 so far this year. That's 90% in case you aren't a math major. 90% is a pretty good percentage for a college basketball team that was expected to dip a bit this year.
Again, I'll repeat. Where was the gloom and doom talk with all of the "lucky" wins before we lost? Why is this all coming out now? Where did you have WSU at this point before the season started?
Just stop, please.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Seriously you have been pushing the same garbage for 24 hours now give it a rest.
Creighton would win because they have a great matchup. They are bad defensively, but against Tennessee it wouldn't matter. Tennessee's defense wouldn't stop Creighton, and thus Creighton is basically designed to beat them. Not a statement on the quality of Creighton versus Wichita State, more-so the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams.
If Illinois State played like they did against Louisville, they should beat Tennessee. I think Tyler Brown and Jackie Carmichael are good enough to beat Tennessee's defense, so again I give them the nod.
UNI, little harder to say. Not as good as the other two, I believe, but they also nearly beat a team that is better than Tennessee in virtually way. I'd go 60/40 Tennessee, but I still think UNI would be in the game.

And the problem I have with fouling is that it takes winning out of our hands and basically allows our opponents to control their own destiny. We can't defend the free-throw line. Theirre is nothing to overcome in that case, unlike other types of mistakes, and we essentially have given every decent team we've played the chance to win the game from the line. I don't like doing that; teams aren't always going to shoot 50% against us.

Give it a flipping rest.
Whereas, everything we did against Tennessee is basically our normal performance. I'm not worried that occasionally we will play worse and lose games, I'm worried that our "normal" is like this.

1, 2, 3 ... oh wait 0.
Like it or not, I've done my best to prove what I've said with facts and reasoning. You disagree with my opinion, but that doesn't make it any less valid or change the fact that I have done more to support than people have done to disprove it. You want to prove me wrong? Start by not completely failing reading comprehension, then try and make an argument against me. I've brought my arguments and supported them.
The closest you've came to an argument is "9-1." But that is basically worthless commentary because it says nothing about the way we played or how we won or lost those games. It has no predictive ability because it does no true analysis.
Whereas, my commentary can tell you something about our team. Don't think free-throw shooting is a problem? Over 26% of our opponents points come from free-throws, which is good for 325th out of 347 teams. That is at least 3-4 points per game, which is significant considering the number of games that could have changed. I can tell what we need to improve on and what the strengths and weaknesses of our program are.

You have still conveniently dodged certain questions, Mr. I-Know-Everything.
Where did you peg WSU through 10 games of the season? How come after a loss you are now criticizing the wins this team has tallied to get to a Top 25 ranking? Still gonna ignore those?
We are painfully sorry that WSU is not going to go 30-0 this year, like you apparently have been expecting.Deuces Valley.

I'm not trying to criticize our record by itself. It is great to go 9-1 our first 10 games. But you have to look at the way we played in those games. We haven't consistently scored on offense, and we foul too much. That did not result in losses in our first few tough games, but that doesn't mean it is a recipe for success. Our strength should be our defense, but we let ourselves down with those fouls.
I never stated that we should go 30-0, and stating that I expected that is just a blatant strawman. But Tennessee was a winnable game lost by fouling, and I expect us to lose other winnable games by fouling until we get it under control.

I think this team is going to be considered great when it is all said done for one reason:
The shockers won nine games without making an insane number of threes or shooting twenty more free throws than their opponents. Apparently, I have more reason to be optimistic since they have also overcome terrible defense.
