It was bound to happen. Defense can only take you so far. Against quality competition, your offense is going to have to bail out your defense every once in awhile. Oh well, we choked this game off lets up the youngsters learn from this. But this loss will mean we won't be in the top 25 again for at least a month.

Tennessee is far from quality, IMO.

We never had the mental toughness to win tonight. I love this team but oh man am I disappointed. I hope they use it to grow and learn. Say goodbye to #23 and hello to fighting for respect.

We hope not. But you never know how a team will respond. Southern Miss is no gimme and then opening with UNI for MVC play is not a gimme, especially if this team is questioning itself. This just feels like deja vu all over again.

Our defense was horrible this game. We let them score easily (much better shooting percentage than their average), and on top of that we bailed them out by continuously sending them to the line. We have to stop giving our opponents 30-40 chances to make free-throws.

At least this is probably the worst we will ever see Early, Williams, Baker, and Armstead play as a group. Those 4 guys lost the game by themselves. Only a great Carl Hall performance stopped this game from being a blow-out, because each of those players were outplayed, and badly. Bad shots, bad turnovers, STUPID FOULS!
