It's on Wessel's right (shooting) hand. He's got the pinky taped to the ring finger. Couisnard played that way for a couple of games at the end of a season. I thought it knocked Cooz down to maybe 60-70% of what he did without the injury.

Wiggins is sniffing playing time and played a fairly intelligent game tonight. He had some "coaching" moments and Marshall appeared to have a "do that one more time and I'm pulling you" moment. Wiggins looked better than he has up until now, but then JuCo's take some time to rach D1 form.

I think Wiggins at 100%, even with some "coaching" moments is probably better than Wessel at 80%. Bker, Cotton, and Williams also know how to play SF, so this is an injury we can handle without overly adverse effects.

I'm really, really hoping Wiggins grabs the bull by its horns and takes advantage of the additional playing time to prove to GM that he can be and will be a much needed scorer for this team. If he can give us 8 to 12 PPG from here on out, I can accept the occasional misfire in defense.

Truthfully so can DWill. Nice to see his percentages rising as the season progresses. He just isn't shooting it a ton, but that is probably why he is making a high percentage right now. He is taking good shots overall:

50% fg, 52.9% 3pt, 80% FT, 2 rebs, 2.6 assists, 1.4 turnovers, 1.6 steals per game

Hope he keeps it up! We need him down the stretch!!!

Marshall isn't in the mood to let things pass. He is dogging all players at every shown weakness especially on defense. If Wiggins does what Marshall asks, he'll be a very good player. Marshall doesn't want soft players who score 2 points and then give them up on the defensive end. We have enough good players not to allow it. I do think that EO's contribution on the defensive end (protecting the rim) is more difficult to replace than Wessell's (we still have Baker and Cotton to play the 3).

Ot all sounds like a losing proposition, not a blow put win.

We have found a way to win each game thus far and our quality depth has payed dividends for us. We have 12 solid, versitile players and we have a tough road awaiting us when anybody and everybody would be delighted to the point of really celebrating if they can find a way to defeat us. We beat a VCU team at their barn that returned most everybody and that was not done by other more experienced Shocker teams the past 2 Seasons.

There will be plenty of obstacles and forks in the road along the way and I hope we get these nagging injuries healed up soon. We need to be hitting on 12 cylinders which is what has been making this team successful even though we play ugly at times. When we do play ugly, we also make the other teams play uglier than us so far. Out of 12 players, there should be enough that are playing well each given game to help us 'scatch out' our fair-share of wins on both sides of the floor. The players may vary from game to game that match-up the best, but 3G has a knack of finding these Shockers that are primed and ready and getting them the needed minutes.

Chadrack and Wiggins are getting the 'Juco tendencies' dusted off and are having some solid moments for us as they continue to learn our System. The learning curve even took Rags, Ben, Hall, and Hannah a spell to understand but they all came through to make us better. Hall did not have one of his better games tonight but has been instrumental in our success this Season and is quite an encourager for his teammates. Cle just seems to be 'cool as a cucumber, calm and collected' out there and is having fun and quite a player for us already, but not as good yet as he is going to be. Now that is scary cool.

Señora Rio and I arrive at Koch Arena at 30-45 minutes, before tip off.

We like to watch the players warm-up. Nick is really a very fine shooter. I am sure he is a monster "horse" player. He just drills 3 ball, after 3 ball. He reminds me of Joe R.

Last night, he had a most egregious moment. He let #22 drive the base line on him and Nick did not even wave as #22 went by. On the other hand, Nick made a very nice pass into the post for an easy bucket. I think Carl was the shooter, but it might have been Cle.
