I can't really respond to all of this, but I'll throw in a yo mama joke.

Two high school kids, proud of their newly sprouted facial hair, went to a barber shop together to get professional shaves. When the first one was finished, the barber asked him if he wanted some after shave splashed on his face, He refused, saying that if he went home smelling like that his mama woulds think he had been to the local cat house.

3G effectiveness was waning, I think a lot had to do with the loss of Jans and then Heier. IB was elevated to #2 by default but he was not on the same level as the other 2 guys. He was a pretty good recruiter, but not sure abut his scouting/game planning and coaching strengths. He got the job be default and you can't argue against giving him a shot, especially since he had just won the league as an interim. There would have been hell to pay from the woke crowd had he not got a chance given the timing of everything socially. It is what is and we can't change anything right now. At WSU we've had a lot more busts with basketball coaching hires than we've had homeruns. We should be used to it by now.

Players were transferring away en masse his last two seasons, and this was back when players were still supposed to sit out a year after a transfer. In the free transfer era? Marshall was trending towards cooked, especially if he hit another kid, made more weirdo comments about players' girlfriends, choked an assistant coach again, etc.
