I think there is some easy money on Charlotte +10 tonight.
You would hope that having lost three in a row would be reason for them to get up for even a scrub team......

I thought the same thing with UTSA.

How confident are you with this coaching staff having the team ready to play night in and night out?

      ... No really, deuces.

I wish HCPM knew how to teach a zone. I don't think we have the personnel to play M2M . We need defense so why not try, what have you got to lose?

We have two or three who are capable of playing man but seldom see the court.

Could you imagine if he improved his shot selection and looked for a teammate once in a while? He’d probably be the MVP on the team. Too bad he has horrendous coaching and from what I’ve seen, zero adjustments.
Yes, we should bench Bell. Split up his minutes between Bijan, Joy, and Zion. They take better shots, rarely look for their own shot, and are always looking for the open teammate. Bell is what he is and isn’t going to change. Let’s let these other guys have a chance!

Lets see what's worse...Wichita State's team, or my betting luck - unloading on Charlotte tonight and I haven't hit a bet since the Nixon administration it seems!

Most # of 3 point shots taken: 7 shots made 3, 5 shots made 3, 4 shots made 3 and 2, 3 shots made 0 twice, rest are fewer than 3 shots.

I agree with Zion though .. give him more time.
I'm going to slightly disagree on Joy. He's shown flashes and had some decent games. And considering they're playing for nothing as a program right now, I'd rather see more Joy as he's a guy that could still come back and has some potential to develop into a solid contributor. Like Zion, he needs real game experience and court time. Not saying he hasn't had bad games too, but I'd like to see if he can find some consistency with some consistent minutes.

Some have disagreed with me on here about judging players who only get essentially a handful of minutes a month, but if you really want to see what they have to offer, and could have to offer, they need to play more than once every few weeks. It's asking a lot of someone to not screw up at all for the four minutes a month they get and then judge them by their one turnover or missed assignment. Especially when guys playing 20-30 minutes a game do that more frequently but are given the opportunity to spread those mistakes out so you have other things to judge them for. Sometimes that doesn't do those players any good, but you can't argue that they weren't given the opportunity to get into the flow of the game and such.

I don't think Joy will ever be a game changer, but I think he can be a fantastic defensive option that can create for others when given a chance. I'd like to see him get the opportunity to try and show that much like I'd like to see Zion given more court time as I do think he could be much more special if allowed to grow rather than being handcuffed all of the time.

Hell, at this point I wouldn't mind seeing Bamba get some minutes. He hasn't shown much but hasn't been given the opportunity to do so either. Maybe there's a reason for that, but we know Zion has some game and he hasn't been given much opportunity either. Did Mills promise the upper classmen minutes so he has to keep younger guys on the bench? Because some of these veteran players sure don't deserve to be playing 25+ minutes per game. And again, it's not like we have any post-season in our future. I'm not saying we completely bench the older guys, but why not mix in the younger guys with them and see what they can do? Give them 8-15 minutes for a while and see what we've got.

I'm not going to **** on Bell here, but on a good team he wouldn't be getting 27 minutes per game. But on this team, I guess he kind of deserves something like that...

Hill does not deserve 31 minutes per game. Give more minutes to guys like Zion.

Washington has earned his 26 mpg.

Ballard has earned his 25 mpg.

Beverley should not be playing 27 mpg. Give some of those to Joy or Bamba. I'd say Williams too, but at this point he should probably just redshirt if he can't go now/soon.

DeGray (when healthy) was averaging 21 mpg. I suppose that's fine. Like Bell, on a good team that would be on the high side for him in my opinion. He's solid, but not special.

Bosnjak is getting 19 mpg. I think that's fair. He's been inconsistent but shown some good things as well and we don't have post options.

Cortes doesn't deserve his 22 mpg. He shows flashes but he's also a bloody senior. Way too inconsistent. Give some of those minutes to one of the young pups.

McGinnis doesn't really deserve his 14 mpg. He doesn't shoot and can't play defense. Though we also know defense isn't stressed. Give some of those minutes to one of the young guys.

Joy has played a total of 88 minutes through 16 games. Zion has played only 44. Bamba 12 and Thengvall 9. I get they're young and in the case of Thengvall a walk-on.

I really think Joy and Zion could/should be playing 10-15 per game. They've at least shown something at times and potentially have a future with the program.

Bamba and Thengvall haven't had the opportunity to show anything. I'd still like to see Bamba get 5-8 mintues per game to see if he can show something when playing with guys not at the end of the bench in blowouts. Can Thengvall shoot? I believe legend has it he can knock down a shot. Let's find a way to spot him up in the corner and see if he can catch and shoot. I'm honestly not too concerned about a walk-on getting minutes or not, but if he can shoot he should probably get more minutes than AJ. AJ is the better athlete, but Henry may be a better basketball player at this point.

I'm just sick of seeing the same people make the same mistakes and throw up the same bricks and miss the same defensive assignments over and over again while we have young guys who could take some of those minutes and maybe eventually help the program.

At this point, what have we got to lose? We're already losing games we shouldn't.

I think this season is a lost cause. I'd pay for tickets if I thought Henry and ZP were both going to play more than ten minutes each. I believe Hill has the talent but has under performed more than anyone else other than PM. Any kind of turn around starts with him............he has to play to his potential on BOTH ends of the court.

Incredibly stupid line. Maybe we're a 2-4 point favorite at home (and that's still wrong because there will be little home court advantage) but that's it. 10 is stupid. We have the material to win by 10+ but have shown NOTHING to warrant that type of spread outside the KSU game in the last 6 weeks.

I know Bell can make everyone crazy, but over the last 8 games, he has averaged 20ppg on 57% FG, 65% 3pt, & 87% from the line. Even if you add 1/2 of his turnovers to his field goal attempts, he is shooting 50%.

Regarding defense, I’d like to see some straight up man defense at least as a change up. Stop the unnecessary switching. I’d like to see who can guard their own man. Is there anyone on the team who could be a defensive stopper? I don’t think the defense can be any worse.

RDG is probably the best we have.
