Interesting that he doesn't list UNI as potential contender to challenge CU - just IlSU and WSU.

I think you posted the wrong URL for the box score. But for what it's worth that lawn mowing monstrosity was cool.

Any how I suspect the Georgetown vs Tennessee box score goes something like:

          1st quarter

          (6 - 0) Touch down! Georgetown
(7 - 0) Extra point is good! Georgetown
          (7 - 6) Touch down! Tennessee

          2nd quarter

          (13 - 7) Touch down! Georgetown
(14 - 7) Extra point is good! Georgetown
          (14 - 13) Touch down! Tennessee
(14 - 14) Extra point is good! Tennessee

          3rd quarter

          (20 - 14) Touch down! Georgetown
          (20 - 14) Missed extra point. Georgetown
          (20 - 20) Touch down! Tennessee
          Timeout Tennessee
(20 - 22) Two point conversion is good! Tennessee
          (26 - 22) Touch down! Georgetown

I'm not worried too much about Tennessee. Southern Miss worries me, even though it's at home (more or less) and it shouldn't.

I remember watching this game myself. I thought it was the worst games I have ever witnessed, both teams missing easy shot after easy shot. I figured Tennessee looked rather beatable at that point. But we shall see.

We need to win our next 2 games to really start turning heads. We can win in Tennessee, they will try to play us straight up and I think we are better than them.

Talk about bulletin board material. Saw this on Bleacher Report (link)

It's a mock draft of players outside BCS conferences. Creighton's got three top thirty players (and the overall number one). Illinois State has got a top 50 and four total. Drake has two on the list. UNI has got four on the list. Colt is number six. Even Missouri State has two on the list. And Wichita State doesn't have a single player in the top 150. Only three got drafted total: FVV, The Beast, and Armstead. I'd be pretty mad if I were Cle. And to put Hall outside of the top 50, let alone top 150?

We're playing with house money right now since no one expected us to be undefeated. Hell, if we were sitting at 6 - 2, most of us would be elated given the inexperience and youth we have on the team.

The future looks bright, don't get me wrong. But come talk to me when we go on the road to Tennessee in that hostile environment. Tennessee is treading water right now and having a ranked mid-major come into their house is exactly the medicine that cures their ills. They will be pumped for that game. If we come away with a 'W' then I'm all on board about this team having figured it out sooner rather than later.
KC, why don't you quit being a dumbass.

HCGM, Turgeon, and everybody else affiliated with Shocker basketball thinks we are a major program. Why would a longtime fan like yourself continue to use a label designed to marginalize our ability to go after top recruits? Why don't you do the program a favor and change your vocabulary.

Well, it's not and your opinion blows, again.

No, I don't think you recognize the potential because you never predicted this kind of start. And you are so fast to always make an excuse for what the other guy could have done. AFA is a poor shooting FT team. We don't know that? We didn't foul the right guy when he got in good position because 2 FT was a lot better for us than a bunny? VCU wasn't leg weary trying to come back against us time and again? You rarely give our kids credit for putting the other guy in a tough spot and you underestimate our staff's ability to abuse the other team's weaknesses I think.

What a fan. I doubt Gregg thinks this is house money and 6-2 would "elate" more than you and a couple of others.

I bet if I looked hard, you said the same thing before VCU, and about every other tough game, in any sport, in the last decade. It's never enough for you. If they beat UT, it'll be "come see me after CU" and on and on. Hell, if these guys go 34-0 through St. Louis, you'll be questioning the schedule and proclaiming disaster lurks right around the corner.

Nobody is saying we're Duke or Indiana but so far, nobody is better than this team on the floor, and last I checked, that's why they play the game. You're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem, now quit being part of the problem and put the other guy back on.

Who cares what John ******* thinks. We're in the polls, again, and getting national recognition, again. Enjoy the ride.

I cannot wait to roll the ball out on the floor against Tennessee with this Shocker squad and spank they arse again.

We are going to get some mucho practice time this week and will only get better. We are perfectly capable of winning if the game were tonight. We are road warriors. Tennessee aint nothing special.
