Mills had 15-20 minutes to talk to the players…and days and days of practice. And the entire game. And the flight home. He owes fans a bit of time…and needs to be respectful of MIke Kennedy. And they want people to contribute to this????

For sure. I am now a believer in just how bad this coach is. He refuses to change a damn thing. If anybody is still interested I could explain how a 3-2 MATCHUP zone could change things for the better. First, and foremost, it would keep our bigs within seven feet of the basket at all times. Could our perimeter D get any worse? Their guards absolutely dominated ours. Why waste PT on Hill ? I'm sure PM is a great guy off the court but has no business coaching D1 basketball..........at least NOT here ! We are not just bad we could be the worst team in a bad conference. Who wants to go out and pony up $40 for our next game?

He at least definitely changed up the offense to run through Ballard.

Getting blown out by UMKC and UTSA in the same year.... We are without a doubt in a worse position than when Mills took over.

Even scarier is that even after two recruiting cycles ... Two of the 3 best players on this team are the previous coaches recruits

And next year appears to be a total reload and rebuild. But regardless of how you recruit you still have to be able to coach a team up (in all phases of the game). Maybe HCPM is trying to trash this season so next year wont's seem as bad as it is likely to be.

- Wire to wire blowout to a bad team. For the 2nd time this season.

- Coach skips the post-game interview.

- We're gonna have 8-10 new players next year (if we can find that many).

- The conference is terrible and we're part of that problem.

- Koch Arena at less than half capacity all season (and probably getting worse as the games go on)

- We're paying 3 coaches and stuck with the current one for a couple years.

If this isn't rock bottom, someone kill me. Did I miss anything?

Last year we were the 121 defense via Kenpom. That was 40 spots worse than any of the IB years and obviously worse than any recent Marshall year (including the "bad" defense in 2018).

This year we are 170....

That is still 50-100 spots higher than 5 of his 6 years at Oral Roberts. This is still a "good" defensive team by Mills standards

This team has gone downhill from week to week. The only real bright spot was beating KSU...and that wasn't that great of a win. PM told us at the end of November that December was for tuning up...and they had the time to really develop during that month. But, they've gone backwards by leaps and bounds. Horrible.
