I now know why Tang said they get nothing playing the Shox. That loss to us hurt them a lot. I guess my next trip to CKA will be in July for the AfterShox.

In college football players can enter the portal rather than play their teams bowl game. I wonder what would happen if basketball players could enter the portal rather than complete the season with their team.

The Shocks started the game stagnet again, even with their star hurt temporarily. WSU had 9 more turnovers than the Roadrunners. They outscored us by 27 points on 3 pointers. JH is our qb and is struggling. He did have 3 assists in 31 minutes. Zion had 3 assists in 6 minutes, and I'm glad he got to play. Our D lately is very disorganized. WSU did utilize QB today on offense, but were outgunned on firepower, even by recruits of a first year coach at UTSA.

If you had told me that X, Q and Corey would combine for 57 points on 25-38 (65.8%) from the field including 4-7 (57.1%) from 3 plus 3-3 from the free throw line while also grabbing 18 of the Shockers 39 rebounds (with UTSA only snagging 26 rebounds) and told me the final score was 88-75 I would not have guessed there was any way this wasn't a Shocker victory.

Agree but the offense is not the major problem. It is the horrible defense which is why for some time now I have been begging for a change. We can't play M2M so in response to 1972 it's our defense that is so very VERY bad and is responsible for these horrible losses.

Something is going on with switches. Somehow there's always an opponent on the 3 point line with no one within 10' of him when he catches the ball. Either that or our guys are too slow to recover to shooters, or...

...and this is the one I think I'm seeing. There's no hustle or urgency to get to open shooters.

We just got blown out by two first year coaches - and one of them had to recruit to a school with a NET of 250+.

I was told to not bother watching this one but had to see just how bad it really was. I shouldn't have watched.

They are painfully bad. UTSA was the better team and much better coached. I'm not completely surprised as I has Austin Claunch on my watch list when we were looking. I believe he was one of those guys with a lotnof upside if you wanted to take a chance based on his experience, but fell into the may need to prove himself elsewhere a bit more. While UTSA isn't a great team by any stretch of the imagination, they are much improved from last year.

We suck.

I received a fair amount of crap for not liking this hire, especially on Twitter, as the national talking heads kissed Mills' ass and blew smoke up ours. I've seen absolutely nothing from him in the positive.

Today was the first game I intentionally decided not to watch since the MT era. I had a surplus of old laptops and tablets to dismantle with a sledgehammer. Luckily I chose wisely.
