i don't know about that. temple went to the aac championship game last year (that seemed to speak how bad the aac was/is.), and they were godawful in the regular season. i could not believe how badly they played against WSU last year.. and still beat the shox twice.

so there's hope.

Our “sharp-shooting” senior, AJM, averages 1 three-pointer a game. One. Good utilization of a scholarship. Clang.

And ZERO defensive effort. The making him a starter experiment has failed.

I’m sure 3G’s was enjoying life at the country club while WSU fans were left to suffer in the cold, dark, and depressing conditions (and I’m not just talking about the weather).

i don't know. but this team is in very bad shape, cardiovascular-wise. does this team not run sprints? when they screw up in practice? there's a method to that kind of "hard coaching"- gets em in shape.

Had a Marshall team laid this kind of egg, Mike and Dave would have been scared for the post game interview. I was wanting some of that from Mills. No such luck., Saal and to a lesser extent, Mills, apparently do not understand their customers, the fans. We want hard nosed defense, nasty rebounding, and winning. Players diving on the floor, and "wanting it" more. Corey Washington is the only one I have seen that actually puts his body at risk and flies after a loose ball.

On the bright side. There was plenty of hot chocolate left to serve the players and cheer squad with their post game cookie snacks.
I don't have to worry about setting my schedule around games anymore. I believe I have to watch paint dry during the next game.
I no longer have to speculate if the problem is players or coaching. It's obvious this is a streetball offense and the coaching supports that.

I do feel bad for Ballard and Washington who don't try to be heroes but do become heroes by cleaning up all of the scraps of the wannabes.

Next game predictions- Bell will drive the ball inside and either be stuffed or turn the ball over on half of those trips.
Hill will drive to the hoop in order to draw a foul on most of his possessions.
3 or 4 guys will stand around the perimeter while one guy drives the lane and force a shot up.

My conclusion: college basketball has really gone to sh!t. I've only seen a couple of teams that look like they perform as a team. Everyone else plays this streetball BS. I never enjoyed pro ball for that reason and quickly losing interest in college hoops for the same reasons. I don't care to see games of horse with a bunch of longshots, or a free throw shooting contest, or guys driving the lane only to throw up some dipsy doo triple pump over the shoulder shot.

I'm sick and tired of watching a random group of guys in black and yellow throw up bricks season after season. College basketball is dead.

Paul Mills approach seems a lot like what you often see at AAU tournaments or MAYB Tournaments.

oh, and whatever pittance of a NIL we have is probably going up into smokes at this point. At least with nba contract you can be fined, let go, etc if you aren’t meeting obligations.

Aside from QB, our Senior class is definitely making the case that their highest level of a basketball league they will be in next year is a Church league.


Any level of overseas pro ball is a mere dream. Enjoy whatever NIL you are getting this year. It will be the last year any of you get $ for playing basketball.
