I thought all of Bell’s 4 turnovers (seemed like there were more), were all at the worst times.

FYI - there's a few exceptions, but generally when a player is described as a combo guard it means:

1. 6'4" or shorter
2. Not a facilitator (not a PG)
3. Not a leader (see above)
4. Not a shooter (not a shooting guard)
5. Looks good in warm-ups
6. Can occasionally dribble between the legs
7. Can score reasonably well against smaller/less athletic defenders
8. Low efficiency
9. Is a non factor offensively when playing against equal/better/bigger athletes

The only "combo" guard I want on my team is one with a high basketball iq and is an elite defender or a true shooter who happens to be 6'2" instead of 6'4"+

I believe we've already got one of those signed for next year, but there's good news. He's from a JuCo, so he'll have 4 years to demonstrate his prowess at the stuff on your list..

Our Defensive Plays Of The Game…loved the Biddy Ball “Ole’” defense, which got nothing but layups and dunks for USF. That was an incredible defensive strategy. Exactly how does one teach that, Paul?

I hate to pile on, but this is bad like Cohen bad , like Thompson bad, like IB bad and I had tickets during all those years. We have a very selfish team, we have a coach who is way in over his head and fan base that is really frustrated with the downward trend. WSU fans for the most part know the game and know when a coach is being out coached consistently. Our talent level isn’t good enough to win with poor coaching. I hope I am wrong but when I recently said I thought 9-9 league was realistic after tonight I feel like I might be correct.

My point was that we could have eaten up another year of salaries. The extra year would most likely have been horrible, but the coffers would have been in better shape as well as more time for the (unofficial) coaching search.

ZP hasn't played well but I've had it with BC and Hill. Invest in those that "might" be back next year not the ones that have failed THIS year. So, start ZP XB, CW, MB and QB. Chance the latter three "might" get another year so PLAY them. Joy off the bench. Start playing some match up 3-2 zone cause our man is beyond pathetic. Slow the game down to keep our bigs fresh. Work RD in to sub for MB but don't waste Meeks this year if there is a chance we can get a RS year. I'd even give Thengvil some PT.

Our “sharp-shooting” senior, AJM, averages 1 three-pointer a game. One. Good utilization of a scholarship. Clang.

Someone suggested making Acy the "actual" headcoach and keeping Mills on as an assistant so we don't have to pay his buyout. that's not looking like a bad idea. except for the damnedrollover clause that's said to be in his contract, which means his contract automatically renews every year.

It seems that failure to perform the job would be cause for termination without having to pay the remainder of the contract.

i don't know about that. temple went to the aac championship game last year (that seemed to speak how bad the aac was/is.), and they were godawful in the regular season. i could not believe how badly they played against WSU last year.. and still beat the shox twice.

so there's hope.
