Either way, the department is smart enough to not take away paid benefits from donors to give to walk ins so it's a moot point.

They do need to figure out ways to fill the empty unpaid for seats though. You can give walkins good deals on those without taking something away from paying donors. They absolutely should be running dirt cheap specials on the top few rows.
Stick--not missing the point at all...and not even trying to be argumentative. All I'm saying is, tonight, when it is so cold, icy, and slick, and 7/8ths of the lot will be empty, there is no reason why they couldn't let people park a bit closer. It would bring a lot of good will. It wouldn't even take away the spots of those who park very close in. Instead, folks are getting hot chocolate (I don't even like hot chocolate).

Eh there are other ways to fix that though.

Yet again, if a big donor shows up, expecting to have their spot and ends up having to walk FARTHER than they normally would, on a night where they need it most, because some random person going to their first game took their spot... You now likely lose that donor.

How about in all the "open" lots you utilize a nearby building.. like the baseball practice facility, or one of the school building, you let people go in the nice warm building to wait and then run shuttles right to the front door. Set up 2 or 3 of those across campus and you solve the problem without taking something away from donors.

I'm all for that...I'm all for appealing to the fan base. I'm also all for not taking something away from the faculty members and the students.

TU runs free shuttles for all the games. Nice perk. Wish WSU would do the same.

This is likely to be our lowest attendance in decades.

Pretty sure WSU does already? Can't you park for free at the HMC (21st and Oliver) and ride the shuttle to the door? If you can't, then it's just changed. I'm also fairly certain there are one or two other departure points.

Yep....I'm honestly a little scared as to how few people are going to be there.

This seems to show a couple of shuttle bus options, and apparently they do run on all game days. But this document is from last year. They don't seem to advertise this shuttle to a great extent. It looks like it makes stops at all the normal stops on the campus route.

Yeah, I installed the app and it was confusing as heck. You used to be able to see where the shuttles were so you could time showing up at them. That didn't work at all with the app this season. Very confused situation.

Guessing there are less than 1k in attendance tonight.

Hope I'm wrong though. Go get that hot chocolate.
