Friends (8-4) at Wichita State (9-3) Game Discussion: Dec 29 (Sun)

This game needed to be played and once again showed there are lots of talented players in the game, regardless of the initials next to their team.
I see lots of talented players at all levels. D2, D3 and even NAIA.
Just because they may be a couple inches short or don't move quite as quickly as others does not mean they cannot play the game.

And Fever, you have no idea of how and when HCPM and staff do most of their work with the players.
Just because he doesn't jump up and down like some idiot or shake his watch on his wrist constantly on the sidelines during a game doesn't mean he isn't working or coaching his team.
Different coaches have different methods and being animated on the sidelines doesn't make one better than the other.

Coach K @ Duke rarely moved or became animated on the bench during a game and he seemed to have a pretty good coaching career.

This is all true, but you seriously can't be comparing HOF coaches to Mills, right? I think there is a right for fans to be skeptical of HCPM's coaching ability after some major blunders.

He doesn't need to be an animated buffoon, but maybe show some energy or something?

He can do whatever he wants if he wins most meaningful games ... until then .. he's going to get criticized

I never said he had to look like an idiot either. Somebody commented on the passiveness of the team and I simply stated its a derivative of the coach. Are you suggesting coaching works through telepathic ways or non-verbal? I just wanna see the guy react to something or open up his mouth and talk. How are you supposed to coach without moving your mouth?

I think it's become abundantly clear there is little scouting going on with most games so there's no coaching going on pregame either.

I never watched the game live because WSU vs Friends at 5:00 on a Sunday night didn't scream out after me until I saw the final hours later on social media.

i agree with you about 20% of the time but this APPEARS to be spot on...i'm sure they DO scout ... it just doesn't look like it

We all saw what happens to scouting when Jans left our team. Not all scouts are created equal.
