Well s##t. Did not watch the game last night. Too many errands last evening and just thought I'd catch it later that night. Climbed in bed and started the game about 10:30. Watched literally maybe 2 minutes of it and said to myself..."I ain't gonna watch this sh#t." The thought process started after the jump ball and Cortez just dribbled without a single pass ultimately taking a shot of his own and missed. Literally thought..."yep...we're gonna struggle tonight...might even lose this one". Took a quick pee and noticed Cortez was still in the game when I came back in the room (what???). How was he not pulled immediately by the coach. Wow. Turned off the game and went to sleep. Can't say I was surprised to read ShockerNet this morning that we lost. Are you f'n kidding me...

The more I watch college basketball the more I see the best coaches are ones that can make adjustments during the game. Whether it’s how the game is officiated, how the opponents are running their offense, how well the team is shooting from the perimeter, great coaches make adjustments. I always thought Chris Jans was responsible for timely adjustments in the Marshall era. It was evident when he left, these adjustments weren’t as timely.

This is what drives me up the wall. This should be the STANDARD for effort.
When this happened I was thinking WTF did I just see? This from a guy who sleep walks through 90% of his minutes and refuses to get his hands above his head on defense and has no clue how to close out on a shooter?
To me it was a 6 second clip that shows what a raw talent Q is but he has no motivation to be a stand out. Acy must of ate his ass out at the previous TO.
BTW, I am in that clip and probably about the only one who didn’t jump out of their seat.

... No really, deuces.

And I want to be clear. I'm not dragging Bell for his overall effort. But that's a clear example of a player who didn't have his head in the game in that span of time.
