There's nothing left to say that hasn't been said. Spill your guts out on SN, get it out of your system and get ready for the next one. Because that was a big boy beat down. We did the same to Memphis last year, and it nearly broke them. Man up and we got the next one. Go Shocks.

The difference in athletes and overall team strength was hard to watch or endure.
Glad that HCPM realized it was burnt toast and sent Pipkin out there for extended minutes.
Not quite sure what they see in Yanis. He looks very D2 level at best. Maybe he is a good practice player?
Go home, watch some video, regroup for the Braves from Alcorn State on Wednesday.
Schedule from here until K-State is not very imposing.
Hopefully some guys who may have thought they were really good got a good dose of humble pie today.
Cuz I haven't seen that bad of a beating since November 5!
That is all.

I feel more apathetic than ever. Seriously. I know we’re 6-1, I know we’re better than last year, but I simply have no interest in watching small time ball. And that was never more evident than last night.
I don’t think I’ll be staying up for the next game. There really aren’t words enough to describe how disappointed I am with Mills, and maybe more importantly, tired of this program dying a slow death. Wonder what it would take for the money guys to even step back in and save it. Money shouldn’t be a problem. Not in freaking Wichita.

Of all the Shocker games I have watched for my long life, I have never seen a defense dominate our Shockers as last night. Not sure if QB even shot the ball once in the first half. No matter who's fault that is, it is PM responsibility to get it corrected. We looked like strictly a group of one on one players with no offensive schemes to utilize. With the games moving forward, no team is a guaranteed win. We might still get maybe 20 wins and maybe a NIT bid? Time will tell. I'm sticking with my predicted 5th place finish in the AAC even though our Conference seems down this Season.
Zion gave us an energy spark last night that we need every single game from here on. Yes, it was mop up time but we didn't look so lethargic as we had looked. While he is on a strict learning curve,, his hustle is a shot in the arm.
How will the Shocks react from here on this roller coaster ride? Stay tuned.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

1st adding a 30 second shot clock. Which I believe they instituted because of Jim Valvanos strategy against WSU in the tournament. Then they reduced it to 20 to increase scoring, which it actually reduced scoring. Then the 3 point shot, which encourages a game of horse. Then NIL and transfer portal, which removed devotion and identity of teams. And now they allow charges and either make them no calls or defensive fouls. Now a bully ball game.
Those are a few of the reasons that college hoops has gotten away from teams moving the ball until they get a good shot. It is now more like a pickup game at the Y.

WSU lost Marshall (and $7 mill went out the door with him), hired Brown, got hit with a pandemic, NIL opened up pay-to-play, and the transfer portal all combined to deal a crushing blow to the athletic department. Recovery isn't and won't be easy. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
