There ain't gonna be no walking the ball up the floor.

The Shockers will press and run fast.

I have 4 season tickets, I'll probalby sell 2 or 3 of them since they'll be going for around $800 each...the rest of the family can watch from home.
dude, why would you let someone low ball you like that? You might as well trade them for some play station games on Craigslist. I'm going to trade one for the key to Fort Knox.

*edit: ehhh... Maybe not. I think I'll keep it.

I like your thinking marty. That would draw more attention than ever before. At least in the GM era.

If both teams are undefeated when we play, I will run nekked down Douglas from Delano to Old Town on Valentines Day.

Since we're looking ahead for fun, how 'bout the final conference game at Creighton on March 2nd? That's got to be the biggest game of the year. Whoever loses on January 19th will be looking for blood in the second game, and whoever wins the second likely wins the Valley. Yikes.

In the meantime, there's a few other games to play. While we have the luxury of looking ahead, I hope our guys can't think about anything beyond Wednesday night.

Creightons game is to push the ball up the court at every opportunity. 1st one to 90. Get alot of open looks on 3's on the secondary break. Doesn't matter how fast they are. If you pass good and shoot good... They will be tough.

The games that Creighton loses are slow, grind it out games. They struggle against UNI. Just look how boring and slow UNI is.

Y'all might be right, but I do not think Coach Marshall will change his stripes.

We will have to wait and see.

So when we thrashed them and treated them like trash last year, did we slowly grind it out, and play like UNI? Is that the way you remember it?

UNI does that because they have to. They can't run with many teams. WSU on the other hand is fully capable of running and wants to run. We have the horses to do so and do it better than CU. The plus for WSU is that if we get caught in a grind it out type of game, we have the ability to play that way as well. But that is NOT the goal of 3G and company. We ran CU right out of their own gym last year. I'm not sure why we wouldn't continue to play that way.

And since when did Wisconsin become a team that likes to run? If they got caught up in that style it's because they fell into what CU wanted to do and I don't think that's what they're built for. Unless something has changed recently and they do play more uptempo now. Big difference between what we want to do and what Wisconsin normally wants to do.

There's always exceptions. Slow games frustrate them to no end. St. Joe's and our win against them last year are two exceptions. Their loss last year at Evansville and UNI were both very slow, drag it out games. Good news is that they can be beat in a couple different ways I suppose. But I don't think trying to win a game against them in the 80's suits us this season.

You also have to remember that we have offensive weapons that are still figuring things out. By the time we play them, that should no longer be an issue.

We will attempt to slow them down when they have the ball -- press them and let them run into EO if they break the press and make them grind it out against a tough in-your-face man-to-man defense. When they miss and we get the ball, we will try to run the floor and take it to the hoop. In other words, we will NOT slow the game down just for slowing it down, but as always, will try to make the opponent work and work and then get a bad shot!
