Originally posted by ShockHat View PostYou know, there was quite a few open 3s and fts missed this last game, and I wonder if it had to do with the pace of the game. We’re playing at a much higher, aggressive pace and you have to think that it’s taking the energy from their legs. So much hard to make shots then than normal, even if we don’t get a hand in their face.
When Rick Barnes was at Texas, they had overly aggressive defense but had shooting problems. Only when PJ Tucker played was that intensity paced down on the offensive end. But then they later got Durant which was always paced down, but his height and skills offset that and the team rolled as KD rolled.
My point being, that it's difficult to adjust from 100 mph on defense, down to 70 on offense. Hill should learn to slow them down a notch if they can't get a good shot in transition.

I figured out how to spell his last name. Imagine this. It's 2 o'clock in the morning and everybody at the party thinks the booze has run out when one guy says, "I got vodka". Then you spell Joy's last name phonetically the way that guy said it "I gho vodja"
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

We are told our guards need to pick up the pace on rebounding. Joy has already been doing just that.Last edited by forevershockerfan; 1 week ago.Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.
