They were focused, physical and played together.

Just wondering if HCPM maybe made his thoughts clear to the team after Monday and it had the desired effect.

This team is not glamorous to watch, very workman like and effective when they play together.
They have a couple who can bomb away from trey land (McGinness sure had nice stroke Friday night), but will win mostly with defense and attacking the rim.
Having a stud PG sure makes things look better too.

    Just win baby!

    That is all.
I thought <5. But if they bring that “nuts in a wheelbarrow” defense and attitude every game…

So much hard to make shots then than normal, even if we don’t get a hand in their face.
I think a little like you, but different. The high aggressive work on defense keeps players in high gear on the offensive end at times. It's better if they can shift down a notch on the offensive end in my opinion.
When Rick Barnes was at Texas, they had overly aggressive defense but had shooting problems. Only when PJ Tucker played was that intensity paced down on the offensive end. But then they later got Durant which was always paced down, but his height and skills offset that and the team rolled as KD rolled.
My point being, that it's difficult to adjust from 100 mph on defense, down to 70 on offense. Hill should learn to slow them down a notch if they can't get a good shot in transition.

I figured out how to spell his last name. Imagine this. It's 2 o'clock in the morning and everybody at the party thinks the booze has run out when one guy says, "I got vodka". Then you spell Joy's last name phonetically the way that guy said it "I gho vodja"

          • We are told our guards need to pick up the pace on rebounding. Joy has already been doing just that.

Sorry, meant the opponents. They’ve missed a ton of opportunities last couple games

Joy is a good rebounder and has a 7’ wingspan. He’s gonna be a great defender someday.
