Exactly. We shoot 43% FG 25% 3 57 FT and win by 13. Against a Big East team, albeit a bad one but still. Those athletes are few and far between in the Valley. And who outside of GE and JC are going to physically challenge our bigs?

Mal Armstead is so good. I wish we had him for more than a year.

"These Refs Suck"
These refs are going to make us thank the MVC for the refs we'll get in league play. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

OK…here are my early thoughts on the game:
First I let emotions during the game get to me when I said our offense was Horrible. I was completely wrong. Our offense and the execution of our offense are VERY good. This is evident by the numerous lay-ups, open jumpers and only 11 TOs. What’s horrible is our ability to finish the play/shoot. When we finish the play (like the second half) we can put up 48 points in a half. From the outside, we are completely suspect and I think this will be our Achilles heel this year.
Offensively, I like the fact (for the most part) we were disciplined on shooting 3s. I think we only took 16 for the game. Past teams, when they couldn't hit the broadside of the barn, they just kept taking them. I think there was only 1 from CE and 1 from Cotton that I would say was seriously ill advised.
What’s nice about this team is we can be horrendous in shooting (the first half) both in the offense and free throws, but we can still maintain a 5 pt lead at the half. (It would've been 10 pts if we didn't have a lapse the last 2 minutes)
Obviously, our defense is going to be the trademark of this team. Other MVC teams have got to be crapping their pants thinking about the fact they have to play against that twice this year. (And maybe a third time in St Louis)
Finally, our depth is more impressive than I ever thought. We had 8 players in foul trouble (3+ fouls), but we didn't lose a beat w/ anyone that subbed in. I honestly don’t think we saw a drop off in production from the TEAM regardless of who was in. Few teams can say that. We played 11 guys w/ 9 getting at least 12 minutes.
Overall grade…B-/C+ (still passing)
Our poor shooting in the first half and FT line were a serious mark down. If we hadn't picked it up in the second half I would've said a C- or worse.
Bottom line, we are 5 – 0 with a good shot at being 6-0 if we keep to what we do best.
