Pensacola hosts the Sunbelt tournament the week before the AAC. 10,000 seat arena. Southwest, Delta, American and United fly there. Non stops for Temple, Charlotte, Rice, North Texas, FAU and USF. Beach vacation.Comment

An arena with a 5-6k or so capacity in a city that people would think about visiting for a weekend even if it wasn’t for basketball. Nobody is trying to go to OKC or Ft. Worth for leisure. New Orleans, Nashville, Miami, Orlando. An arena with easy access to places people want to be.
I don’t care if it is one of the conference’s home team arenas. On TV the crowd for the final last year looked like a Thursday night crowd at the Valley tournament. Butts in seats should be the conference’s only concern.
