This might be a good topic to bring up on the Coach's radio show. Have a quality online streaming production certainly could be viewed as a valuable recruiting tool I would think.

I'm curious. Is there a consensus as to what the problem is with Shocker Vision? Is it the quality of the video itself?"If you're going to do it, you're going to do it right," athletic director Jim Schaus said. "If we're going to put 'Wichita State' across our chest, then every team is going to matter."

The video in the WC game was so poor that I couldn't read the numbers. It was much better in the Howard game although still "choppy". By that I mean it was like it was going frame by frame with a momentary stop between frames.
Evidently, someone forgot to turn the Shockerradio feed on during the first half of the WC game. You could hear the director saying "Camera one ....now to camera three....etc". They fixed it at half time.
During the Howard game, they had the mic feed maxed and it was distorting. I couldn't fix it with my volume so it must have been on their end.
I will have to compliment ADES. I (and others) sent an email outlining the problem and there was a definite improvement during the Howard feed. Hopefully, they are not satisfied and will keep working on it. It's very close to being very good now.

After having watched the WC and Howard games, then watching the Howard highlights I think the issue is either the software or the machine doing the video processing.
- The WC game was smooth, but poor quality, standard 4:3 screen size and ratio, and included the "score bug" (Boatright's term, not mine).
- The Howard game was higher quality in a larger (higher resolution), wide-screen size and ratio, but was choppy and omitted the score bug. (This would indicate it's not a camera issue.)
- The Howard game highlights were smooth, medium quality and the standard 4:3 size and ratio.
It just appears as though the software or video processor can only handle so much and if it gets over-taxed, some aspect of the product will suffer.

I wonder, for those with quality issues, if you have looked at the speed of your connection, the modem you use, and the computer you are using.
I know Shockervision has issues and needs to improve, but the inconsistency of the complaints and type of complaints lead me to belive that some issues may be with those watching.
I was at a friends house in KC last year on a game day. He was complaing about "suckervision", when I looked at his set up he was using a 6 year old cable modem that wasnt even DOCSIS certified, a 6 year old wireless G router, and a computer with only 500mb of RAM, and no video card.
This year he has upgraded to a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, a gigabit router that is hardwired to hisnew computer and actually thinks it is pretty good. He also upgraded from 3mb downstream to 18 gb downstrean to have plenty of bandwidth.
This isnt a knock on anyone, just his experience.
