I think that might have been HCGM's best coached game at WSU.
Last season Shaka made us play his style of basketball and did a great job neutralizing our strengths. We were the better team over the course of the season, but they were better that night in March. We looked slow and were caught back on our heels early in that one.
Tonight HCGM did a terrific job subbing and showed Shaka some weapons he didn't know we had. Gregg finally got the better of the battle from the bench.

I really don't know crap, but overall it sure seemed the key to the game was the way we consistently broke the press by never stopping movement and agressively pushing it up court. The few times they did stop (Wessel) we got trapped.
Thanks GOd we didn't lose because of that water on the end line ( and Thank God no call on basket intereference on Carl's last foul). If you take the high road, you won't find much traffic there . . .

Anyway hear Shaka's and Marshall's conversation mic'ed by ESPN before the game--Gregg was in pure sucker punch mode by insisting the team would be pretty good in a couple of months. Shaka eventually agreed (after trying to compliment them now) with something like "Well you have a lot of potential."Shocker Nation, NYC
