  • Losing to SWAC schools can really make humble pie out of some people.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

        • I feel sorry for Casey and it could get even worse when Burrah comes to town. What if Hinson is still holding a grudge against SWOMO due to being let go and comes to town and absolutely hammers the Springpatch Kids... tears will be everywhere except on Barry. LOL!

Like I knew after about the fourth game of the season that we would struggle. That was frustrating for a fan like me who weighs success only in championships and tournament appearances. Okay? Finishing 19-12 (10-8) or something pains me a great deal if we are being honest. Losing to a SWAC team....

And not even a good SWAC team like Texas Southern or something. This is rock bottom. You know I will be back here to remark about my thoughts on college baseball and I'm not going to go into hiding exactly but I can't take this another second. This isn't hyberbole. If I have to watch another second of this team I think I will be violently ill. I promised to go with my cousin to the SIU game. I've been sitting on the tickets all year. Don't have the heart to go. I promised to be at this one though. Barry is going to be there. It is going to be painful. Probably a new rock bottom.

I came here honestly arrogant. Trying to use my wit to banter with you all in a funny manner. I am almost at that point now where I ask your pity. Sports mean too much to me. I think I might need a new hobby. See you in the Spring for some baseball my friends.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

I saw before the game that the admin over there threatened to pull the plug if they lost the game? Guess he didn't which is good news for those of us looking for some free entertainment in the wee hours.

                    • Losing to a BAD SWAC team might be enough for me to get a new hobby. Wow I wish WSU didn't have to play these guys twice this year. They might end up being the worse RPI killers in Valley history.

I hate to say it, but we'll probably find a way to lose one of them.

That was fun to read. They are past meltdown over there.

                            • Heading out to the Thomas and Mack tonight to see UNI get dunked on by UNLV.

UNLV lost their main guy to a dislocated elbow (yeah it looked horrible), but Anthony Bennet, a frosh, plays like a junior. UNLV is way too athletic for UNI and the fans in T&M will want to see a bloodletting for getting Faroukmanesh-ed a few years back.

I actually thought the Bear fans were handling their current situation reasonably well, especially in comparison to what this forum would be like if we were in the same situation. Of course, there is little to no disagreement among the Bear fan base on how terrible their team has become so in that sense their fan base is currently pretty unified. Saw a lot of that kind of unity on the SIU board over the last couple of years of the Lowery tenure.

Now if the Bear fans get as funny and creative as the fans on the SIU board did during the Lowery years you will have an entertaining board to visit.
