No. The lesson is that when UNI, still a good team, beats somebody ranked above them in the MVC standings, most probably in Cedar Falls, it won't count for much, except to wrongfully lower the perception of the Valley.

The lesson is just because you return everybody, you aren't necessarily better. UNI does what they do very well. They prepared for Louisville all summer. For Stanford, 1 day. Louisville should have beaten them by 30-40 but they were horrible for 80% of the game. UNI doesn't play to get back in games, they play to hang on and shorten the game and maybe pull a rabbit out of the hat late (when they are overmatched, which is about all the time against WSU and other BCS type teams). They are well coached, disciplined, not very athletic, smallish, weak and moderately skilled and if they finish ahead of us in the Valley, something (many things) have gone tragically wrong.

The lesson is that when you're obviously superior to your opponent, you should try for at least 10 minutes during the game. That's about all the time Louisville spent actually trying.

I'd prefer to watch Drake.. I actually like their style better- what can I say- but I'll have to watch Creigthon-Wisky, just to see as many MVC teams as I can, while I can. This week has been really good to scout the MVC.

Still haven't seen IlSu. I wonder if they are on tv this weekend.

Creighton is getting a ton of calls down one. They can play offense and really, really shoot it but still not very athletic. Our games are going to be dynamite.

Cu is about what I was expecting. I was expecting Chatman to be good, but he's looking better than that.

McDermott only plays D if his guy is on the lane. If his guy is away from the lane, Dougie just hangs in the lane in a position to get a rebound. That's not such a bad strategy. He challenges his opponent's PF to hit from 12'+. Maybe that's why Hall worked on his 15' - 17' jumper sll summer. When Dougie is challenged in the lane, he doesn't really contest the shooter if the shooter is remotely close to beating him to a spot. Early should love playing against Dougie. Wisky doesn't have a player equivalent to Early at that position. Early's quickness and athleticism could be a problem for Dougie on both ends of the court.
