Ron Baker 6 weeks, Carl Hall 4 weeks. These folks are the earliest and best case projections. Unless they got some of that Wolverine X-man gene or are related to the same family that produced Adrian Peterson, these guys are shelved longer than their earlier projections. Still hoping for a 20 win season however. Thanks to the bottom 5 of the Valley sucking to high heaven, I think we can still reach 20.

Unfortunately 20 wins against our schedule and this year's Valley will not be good enough in all likely hood for an at large bid. It may get us into the NIT.

NC Central gave D+ all they wanted last night, leading at the under 4. They had a couple cracks to tie the game in the closing seconds.

CU Tulsa was never a game.

Iowa needs to win in the Big10 and after watching them against UNI, I don't know how much that will happen.


PS If we manage to find a way to lose to that cesspool of a school this season, you are going to witness a meltdown of epic proportions here. Even shorthanded we should take care of UNI. They just aren't good.

Worst case scenario is that we are 14-3 going into Illinois State and Creighton by the time Carl Hall comes back, with 14 games until the MVC tournament. We can still salvage a season and get an at-large bid, and VCU is going to help our RPI.

UNI is terrible but for whatever reason they will be good in the MVC. They have experienced players that will play tough against us and the Jays.

IMHO, yes. We lose to UNI and Southern Miss, and win the others. Even if we lose to Creighton and Illinois State, I think we still have a fine shot at 14-5.

I think we should still win against Charleston Southern, Bradley, Evansville, and Drake. Key word "should."

We shouldn't have had any trouble with SIU three years ago at CKA either during that snow storm. No one should be taken for granted especially now that our numbers have dwindled to where we don't have have the flexibility to put others in if someone isn't mentally in the game. Marshall was right. "We have a very small margin of error right now".

When Carl comes back he will not be the same Carl that left. Not for a while. Lufile, EO, and Early are going to have to stay up for a very extended stretch.
