I saw a person describe Shaq's recruiting process as grueling and hard on him. That leads me to believe it went back and forth right to the end. If you read the entire ORU thread, a poster or two hopes it is not over yet.

I like that he move more like a 6-7 210 pounder than a 6-8 260 pounder. Strength and power are off the charts. If he works really hard he could be special.

Well, the link that @C0|dB|00ded: noted above from an OU source indicated that OU was giving Shaq serious consideration, so he may well have gotten an offer from them had he waited to commit. Furthermore, he has changed high schools a couple of times and it sounds like he missed his sophomore year of high school to injury, which would have limited some early expose for him. That could also be a factor. I was wondering about his height being a little on the short side for a center as well. The fact that it sounds like he's still growing is very nice to here though!Comment
