But if they are really that good then there will be an immediate impact. But we have had plenty of anecdotal data say that Jc players are going to struggle their first year and then their full impact will be seen by their senior year. That why I think 4 years quality player are best for long term stability of te program - but I understand why u have to goto JC.
No, to the above. With a HCGM team, how athletic and street ball smart you are does not necessarily equal immediate impact for all the other reasons I gave in my post whether you are a juco or a 4 star freshman. 3G = team ball. I agree with having the 4 year quality player. That's the problem with jucos....you only have 2 years and they may spend a lot of that time "getting it" (D-I ball), if they ever do. If Cle and Nick take a fast track on besting that learning curve, they will be scary good very soon. However, from what I'm hearing, I'm not banking on that for the 1st half of the season.

Fouling often, and, as usual, most of the rebounds he gets are mildly clumsy and rarely above the rim, where the majority of his upper body resides when he jumps.

Look, I like Ehimen, a lot. He is a fantastic young man, sharp as hell and has a personality that if you get to know him, you'll love. And while I 100% believe he COULD be a game changer, I haven't seen enough evidence that he WILL be a game changer. I too have seen flashes of brilliance but not enough to sustain belief in dominance.

There is NO ONE who wants to be wrong more than I.

          That can't be true.

Perhaps you didn't see the out-of-position one-handed rebound he made over three other people that caused coach to say, "great rebound Ehimen." I would put the rebound apex at around eleven feet.

When EO has his first big game as a Shocker (in the fall), I want you all to line up for a healthy dose of crow.

So what I'm gathering, this team is going to have to play like last year's VCU squad (winning on defense - below average to average offense) to make any noise, correct?

I don't think so, though the D will be great.

Maybe, although I'm not sure that we really will know that for sure until we get at least a hanful of decent D-1 games under our belt. However, I could see that being the case during the 1st half of the season with the offense coming on later in the year.

I think we will be in for an interesting and entertaining ride this year, although perhaps a little scary on occasion.

So other players can be slammed in practice because they look good and are stroking it in practice (Baker), but EO is indestructable and full of praise because he'll throw down an occasional hook also in practice? Do I smell some bias here?

How come EO gets a longer leash than what Stutz had? Is it because God rested on the 7th day after creating his body?

I too like EO. I'm sure he is a great person. Unfortunately, you aren't graded in basketball simply by how many formations are formed in the abdomen region. I'll hold off some judgment until I see him again this year. But judging by early prescient reports, things haven't improved substantially.

The kid has 134 pages and counting with a thread on here and he has yet to score more than 6 points in a Division I basketball game.

I'd say that's a safe, conservative, early observation without a game being played yet. I'd be pretty happy if our season had similar results this year.

He'd have to sit another year if he transferred to a D1 school, right?

The news article said he was looking to transfer at semester. Apparently some bad blood. That is unfortunate
