Based on the attitude of our newcomers and another year of experience playing "Luskball" I suspect we will be higher than sixth place. You have a good squad but you just lost too much from last season. I could be wrong of course, but if you are thinking finishing first or second or actually making it to the weekend in St. Louis for once...this isn't the year. You'll be a heckuva lot closer to sixth than first.

So in all of your infinite wisdom Casey, you're predicting the Bares to finish higher than WSU? Really? Sure you want to make that leap? Can we trust this as much as the valuable envelope that was signed and sealed waiting to be delivered to MSU right off the charter plane?

Okay, WuDrWu, either you stole the Phrase cat's ass from me, or it's a southern Kansas-Oklahoma thing. I've been saying cat's ass for almost 20 years and have never heard it anywhere else, my kid said it at Catholic school last year and got in big trouble. Also, my wife hates it! If I'm a betting man, I'd more more stock in having a down year with a coaching change versus player turnover. Looking back at the coaching changes with Mo State, WSU, CU, etc. shows a blip in the record with a new coach. That's why I'm predicting WSU finishes higher than IL State.

Exactly. I have a really hard time thinking a Valley team will improve during a coaches first year. Its not impossible. Its just unlikely in my opinion. I think ILST will have pretty much the exact same overall record as last year, but maybe a few games better in the MVC if other teams don't improve much...like the 3rd-4th place range...

For us, I would only point out that big time coaches get complete roster turnover often and they still get it done. This is the year to see if Marshall is one of those...and I think he just might be :)

The height advantage might be offset by the difficulty in lateral movement and in digging. :redface: However I trust the Lamb braintrust to make good decisions. :calm:
