The first 5 seemed easier to predict than the second five for me. I still think most of the Mags. will pick Illinois State 2nd and our beloved Shocks 3rd.

I can't disagree, as much as I would like to. Shockers are the class of the Valley, but this year, CU has the experience advantage.

Until I see more: CU, Ill St, WSU, UNI, Evansville, Drake, IN St, MSU, BU, SIU.

This might be the year WSU wins in St. Louis. I expect WSU will not be a team anyone wants to face near the end of the year.

Please, please, please....BU and SIU. Come back to your winning ways and help the Valley.

Seriously, can anyone off the top of their head recite from the last 5 years who finished in 2nd through 10th place. Good thing they didn't have some type of these polls around, let's say World War II. I can already see some of your predictions:

As much as I hate to pick CU to win it, its what we have to do because all the pieces are there.

On the other hand, and right in line with all our picks to maybe finally have the team that would win in St. Louis, I would love to see this team take second or third as predicted in the regular season, but manage to sweep the Blue Jays :) Maybe a 14-4 or 13-5 with a handful of splits with other MVC teams in the regular season and a St. Louis title, followed by the hot run a few rounds into the dance.

...and CU is 16-2 with two losses to WSU in the regular season and a third loss in the title game in St. Louis. I'd hate to lose a couple bad games in the MVC to the other teams, but I would sure enjoy a season like that from the rivalry standpoint.

Got a head start because they scheduled like Ill State. But ultimately bad coaching was their demise.

2. U.S.A.
A very deep and talented team but will struggle at the beginning just like our shockers will this year. Wouldn't want to play them from 1944 on.

Better than the rest. Liken them to Evansville in that they have good coaching are tough but ultimately don't have enough talent. They need to go back to the sleeves.

Really?!?! I thought the title of the thread said "Your prediction", not "Your desire". I hope no one will accuse those of us who didn't pick WSU 1st as bad fans. On the other hand, if they do, I guess that will be their problem.

For someone who pushes out a thread, one after another, that receive little discussion on a fan discussion board, you certainly take an odd view of a thread that immediately receives the intended discussion.

Drake has brought in some solid talent…Hines, Carter, VanDeest is back and a couple of good freshman. Evansville's D will still suck and keep them around 9-9. UNI is deep and will be good but they have a low ceiling. The Panthers will take advantage of any mediocrity in the MVC this year. Ill St has a new coach and PG…if they both perform, watch out! WSU needs to put it together. Even if one or two don't match the hype there are 3-4 we aren't counting on that could surprise. Creighton has all the pieces.
