  • I don't really think I have the heart or discipline to discuss this season much more, but I'll give it just a little shot:

1)I can't imagine the odds of 2 people hitting 1/2 court shots on the 1st try 2 times in a season, 3 total.
2)Temple has at least 5 players that are better ball handlers than our best ball handler, whomever you think that is
    3)Temple is awful
    4)Unfortunately, we're worse
    5)Good crowd.
6)Drum line at half time was just fantastic
7)I hope we can have a team next season that is worthy of our spirit squad and band. They've been fantastic.

So.....for any of you at the game.....are we going to discuss what happened after the game ended?

Or just ignore it, chalk it up to emotions and move on? I'm good either way.

Sooooo, that's not very sporting of you to just throw that out and just let it lay there.

Now I’m curious. I was there but left for the exits on the Pohto miss with Doc Valentines Day level (I’d assume) of disgust and language.

My buddy did quite enjoy the atmosphere and the college game experience. And my passion was a good thing, not a bad in his eyes thankfully. Hoping he will want to come back when he is in town!
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

        • There was a very visible physical exchange between HCPM and KP. It appeared that KP was not interested in postgame pleasantries and that HCPM was not interested in KP missing said activities.

Not sure what you’re referring to…we (the lovely wife and I) stayed painfully through the end. However, we couldn’t see much of the last seconds as so many people were stampeding their way out of the arena before the clock ran out…never seen such a migration…worse than at the southern border.

Been a long time since I was embarrassed by a WSU team on the floor.
The 90's were tough to watch with Scott Thompson. He was nice guy, but a really bad coach.
Mike Cohen ws embarrassing, but fortunately only a short while.
Randy and some of the bullsht he pulled was really bad. But he had internal demons prodding him.

But today...well today felt a lot like those nightmares of yesteryear.
We have some players that continue to do some of the dumbest **** on a basketball court, over and over and over.

The coaches sit down with these guys first thing after the season ends on the second Wednesday in March. (and it will end that day).
              Book it.

I hope they have a come to Jesus meeting with some and be very honest and forthcoming.
There are a few I hope are back, but it is very minimal.

HCPM gets a pass from me for this season, although he doesn't for todays debacle.
He was hired late, had nothing to pick from the leftovers in the portal and was handed a shitshow by his predecessor.

But he has a whole year to recruit, hit the portal and even the JuCo's to come up with better talent currently on board.
He better not be sitting in the toilet of the AAC come this time next year.

              That is all.
Above all, make the right call.

Did this get on video and sent to Jeff *******? Looks like we have contract breach. See ya Paul!

My wife said she saw it and agrees with your assessment. I don’t always pay attention to these things. She said that Mills had gone through the line but KP hadn’t. He came and took hold of KP’s arm and lead him like his own child to do the right thing.

It was a little more physical than that but yes, that's the gist of it. I SHUDDER to think how that would have gone down with FHCGM say after a 2009 0 fer start in the Valley. It felt like HCPM was attempting to exert influence and get Kenny to comply and see things the right way, but it did not go well. Honestly, I felt bad for all parties.

It was, in fact, a PAINFUL afternoon. And yeah, I'm not sure I've ever seen so many WSU fans bolt, just kind of resigned/giving up to what had just happened. It wasn't even anger....it was just "**** it".

                      • And they want me to provide cash for this going forward? I honestly don't know who does that.....maybe that explains why so many people are swindled in our society.

I believe we finish paying Brown in April 2026 and Marshall in November 2026. So you are right that Mills probably has a minimum of 3 years, including this year.

I shudder to think what will happen to this program between now and then. Don't think we can get any worse. Maybe we get better? Who knows.

But at this point I think getting to the same level as an average Isaac Brown team would be a vast improvement, and about as much as we could hope for next season. So that leaves year 3 as the year there needs to be significant improvement over Brown. Because if Mills makes it to year 3 and we're just the same as we were under Brown then we need to wipe the whole ****ing thing clean, from Saal on down.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

                          • “We don’t have the energy”. “We don’t have the toughness”. Blah blah blah. That’s a reflection on the the staff.

Well, KS and PM, with this product you have, I don’t have the energy, the passion, and especially the money to support this product.

The other sports and the product they are producing, that might be a different story.

Just like the real world, you produce, I support and will be a big advocate. You don’t produce, you either figure it out and get better immediately, or I don’t need you. Fair-weather, nope. Just reality.

Follow up question: do you have the desire to bring in players next year that show energy and toughness combined with basketball skills, or do you think you can teach this current group to be more energetic and tough?
