I assume it was to make sure Pohto didn't end up having to defend a guard who would just drive around him for a layup, like had just happened. It wasn't a bad strategy, just didn't work out.

QB clogs up the lane. Would have been better to have him on the court.

With all the negative, I just want to make sure any players who stumble across this forum…these comments only reflect basketball ability and nothing else. From all accounts, we have a team full of good, young men. Good human beings, which is honestly more important in the grand scheme of things in life….just not cut out at this level of basketball.

KP got caught in a switch and should have backed off the man but that wasn't the only time one of our guys got beat. Same thing happened to QB earlier and they had no trouble driving down hill on several of our players. BC hurt us at the end and the intentional foul cost us big time. Rogers with a terrible game, as well. Out coached again. Hope we see them again or Tulsa.

yes, we want QB back. But we also want him on the floor. He goes 5-7 for the game, and is an intimidating presence as a rebounder and a shot blocker. However, it appears he gets less minutes than KP, who has pillow hands and is slow. Temple got all kinds of second chance Points when QB is on the bench. This was a horrible coaching decision and probably cost them the game.

Bell - loves his own game too much to be a team player on a good team
Beverly - ditto, plus has weak ass handles and lazy passing
Rogers - can’t throw a layup in the ocean. Weak ass handles
Pohto - actually gets smaller when he gets the ball. He and his 2” vertical can go.
Cortes - don’t hate him so much because he passes the ball to Ballard but he males a lot of dumb mistakes
Ballard - makes baskets and gets pulled like clockwork. No clue what Mills is seeing.
Rignal - for some reason, rarely plays 2nd half but is graduating.
Degray - insignificant

They need to realize not everything is sunshine and rainbows. As the old saying goes, if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen. If these kids not only get a free education and we have to pay them to play here then they need to feel the pressure.

Wichita State deserves better than 11-17 and 3-12 in the conference. They just missed 9 free throws and turned the ball over 10 times. I can’t be happy about that or worry about their precious little feelings.
