I am beginning to change my mind on wanting the crowds to return. It was so nice today.
It was very easy driving into campus. It was very easy to find a parking place. There were no lines thru security, at the concessions or bathrooms or anywhere. It was nice spreading out with plenty of room. We didn't have to worry about the people next to us crowding us out or the people behind us yelling at us to sit down or the people in front of us telling us to stop yelling in their ears, because there was absolutely nobody around us. It was complete bliss. We could spread out and easily eat and enjoy our food and drink. It was also very easy leaving after the game. It was actually a lot more enjoyable than normal. It didn't even hurt that we only had about 12 students in the entire student section.
My wife said after the game that it was the best game she had ever been to. So please keep staying away. The 2500 of us or so can make enough noise to help the team to victory and have a lot more enjoyable time in the process.
It would have been nice to have a big crowd for this Hall of Fame Class, which in my opinion was a very good class. Plus longer-term what will the athletic program look like we we can only draw 2,500 fans to men's basketball games, although I'm sure your comment is largely tongue-in-cheek.
"We just knew there was a brand of immature basketball we were playing," Mills said. "When you're playing these one- and two-possession games you can't have that. Tonight, nothing registers with me from an immaturity standpoint. The guys did a phenomenal job of just understanding the possessions and the value of them."
While the teams may meet again in the post-season, SMU and WSU end their AAC regular-season rivalry with another Shocker win. As has been the case, the Shockers find a way to win the close games.
SMU will depart for ACC this summer after losing eight of nine conference regular-season games to the Shockers. Last season, the Shockers swept the series with two two-point wins, one in double overtime after trailing by six with 1:20 to play in regulation.
I'm thinking SMU won't be interested in scheduling the Shocks in the non-con in the future.

I'm guessing you yell at people to get off your lawn on a regular basis?

why does WSU have to be such seat/ticket Nazis? Even if there's plenty of empty seats, they won't let you move to an open seat even after halftime. Went to a K state game and the usher's actually encouraged you to move down to better open seats.
Watched recording this morning. Better defense but the key was a positive assists to TO's number. Two really great ones by you know who to seal the deal. Some of the other players besides RD need to learn those sharp cuts to the basket especially when you know who has the ball high.

Might bankrupt the athletic department and/or send us to D2, but as long as it was more enjoyable for you.
Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Comfort is a nice thing to have.
But man, there is nothing better in the world than being crammed shoulder to shoulder with Shocker fans young and old. When something good happens it is like one giant mosh pit with the crowd roaring louder than a heavy metal concert....and one that EVERYONE seems to enjoy equally in the moment.
Talk about adrenaline rush
Love that feeling.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!
I have no idea why people consider Pohto as a threat from three. He is not a good three shooter. I’d let him shoot that every time, and sag to where DeGray shouldn’t have had the opportunity. Seems like the most difficult games we’ve had are where people completely let off the three shooting outside of Ridgnal and Rogers, sagging otherwise

They should make it so that after halftime, anyone can move anywhere on the bench-side of the arena. Fill that up so the crowd looks bigger on TV.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.
