He is not the top shot blocker in the country and would not be logging more than 5 minutes per game on a "powerhouse" team. He is mid overall in the ACC at best.

Ponder this: For all the griping about him on this board. Samajae would be the best player on this team by a wide margin. Says a lot about the current state of affairs.

Pure and simple a talent problem that Mills has to fix next year.

I actually just looked up the blocked shots per minute of the top 30 shot blockers (by number of blocks) in the NCAA and Ballard was 14th.

Says a lot about the raggedy roster Mills was left with.

I will say. Watching SMU vs UNT right now (entertaining game btw). But I see very similar style and shots by both teams as our Shockers. It truly seems to be an IQ difference for sure. They are just making shots and not getting a bunch of stupid turnovers compared to what we are watching the Shox do.

Sure hope we get a roster reset...but not confident we will.

That was kinda my point but with the portal allowing instant rebuilds, he only gets one mulligan.

Flanigan would be our starting PG.

Which coach wins the most games in February, 2024? Mills or Brown? Or do they win the same number?

Sure that wasn't for the conference?

He's 12th in the country in total blocks and 10th in the country in 2 point field goal percentage. He's 1st in the conference in several stats around blocks, and too many top 20 in the conference to list.

He plays way above the rim.

He is the lunker we always dreamed of, but now that we finally have one, we have very weak guard play.

                    *sigh*

5 guys were left to him (well 6 but one never made it to the season). The other 7 are his. So its really his team

Seems 50/50 at best. Most of IB's guys are the ones playing. Their IB culture is prevalent throughout the team and is not a help also.

Kinda the point though .. he recruited 7 guys .. but only 2 of them actually play more than 20 min a game. We had a bad starting point, and he STILL wasn't able to recruit players to take their minutes. Not an IB problem .. that's a Paul Mills problem.

Most of IB's guys that he played are gone. Only 2 of IB's players saw meaningful minutes - Pohto and Bell and Bell was 7th in mpg at 14.6 (he's currently at 30+ mpg). Rogers didn't play and Ballard and Abidde were #11 and #12 and their combined minutes were only 4 more than #10, Poor Bear. To me, that's not a high bar for Mills' players to beat out.

So I'll stir the pot, knowing the DEEP dislike for FHCIB.....how many of you believe , with the team and coach we have NOW , vs.the team and coach we had/probs WOULD HAVE had...that the Shocks are better off?

                                I'll hang up and listen......:)
