So I don't understand where the alleged hate came from. He's obviously not demonstrative on the sidelines. He barely even works officials. His teams weren't dominant.

Unless he completely changed his persona when he got to Wichita it doesn't make any sense.
    beat me to this ha!

    • AT minimum, I'd like PM to be interviewed by Taylor Eldridge and have an open and honest evaluation of the season and plans moving forward. No cliches, no vague responses. I want an honest assessment from Mills. Are you going to do the same thing next year with the same players or are you going with a different approach? Did you learn anything about the type of player you need for the AAC? What is our recruiting plan? Who is our most accomplished recruiter on staff and where does he find the most talent, where are the best connections? What's his opinion on NIL and what does he think WSU realistically needs? I could go on and on, so many questions.

Well when you have mostly bad news and your ability to do much about it are tied by financial constraints you tend to get much less transparency.

That's a twisted thought, but I can see where someone totally devoted to analytics and metricxs could embrace it.
Nobody devoted to analytics and metrics would even consider embracing such a poppycock idea. Lets not put stupid strawman goofiness on HCPM, he has enough real problems to work through.

Snowball effect then .. No one is going to donate more with limited/no transparency. So you get in a downwards cycle.

It wasn't a Gregg Marshall type situation where they dominated everyone. They just had the 1 good year. If any team was the "villian" it would be South Dakota State since they also went 18-0 one year and was 1st place like 6 of the last 7 years (finishing 2nd behind ORU last year)
That’s interesting. I don’t get it. I guess he’s villain in name only. I’ve never gotten that vibe from his since he’s been at WSU. Maybe he’s a villain for making us watch this team.

I know I hate him right now for making me suffer through these games. Or maybe I hate myself for still caring enough to watch this bullshit...

To extend my stock buying analysis, it appears we went all-in on Gamestop stock on January 28, 2022, and are now left holding the bag, telling ourselves the next short squeeze is coming.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

What does he have to sell? Gaslighting is probably worse than just keeping your mouth shut. Not many like it when you piss on their leg and tell them it's raining either.

Brutal honesty .. just hearing that the results aren't acceptable .. or not going to plan .. and that he's willing to adjust his approach. That maybe his approach at ORU isn't going to work at WSU. There is a lot that can be said that isn't just fluff.

I actually had intended this post for the ADKS thread, but I don't disagree with the brutal honesty approach both from ADKS and HCPM. In fact, when things get as bad as they are you probably are just digging a deeper hole if you are not totally honest and to the point.

Give me the HCMT mic moment. I'll take that.
