I hate too, but like you say, it is what it is. I hope players understand that with this new extreme freedom of movement from school to school, the tradeoff is it will be easier to get pushed out in favor of someone else.

Maybe it's just the Ward Cleaver in me, but I still believe there are student athletes who are capable of playing that would rather have a solid 4 year commitment from a college than play this stupid f**cking transfer game every year, that want to go to school, get the education thing, get better every year and build something better.

I remember talking to Randy Burns years ago. He said it was a weird feeling to have coaches recruiting your eventual replacement. And that was when recruiting was relatively normal.

Like you said, if players want all of the advantages with this freedom, they better accept the unintended consequences that come with it.

Randy was a good dude. I was there when his mom surprised him by waiting at the very end of the autograph line. Let me tell you, he might have been Superman to us, but in that moment he was just a boy who loved his momma.
