Shoxlax, are you predicting an 8th place finish as did Doc? Both of you are voices of reason on this fine Forum. My early predictions were based on Germany being a bigger factor and Cortes playing. It appears Ken Pom has us around 6-7th. today.

Playing Memphis and FAU twice is not a good thing. No other AAC teams overwhelm me. Lindys Mag. also picked us 8th. I'm sticking to 5th. For the Shocks. If we play like last game, SIU is also capable of beating us too, but I'm not counting on it.

No doubt Germany has been a huge miss. The expectations for a grad transfer is they should be playing a lot and he’s playing walk on minutes. If you’ve actually seen him play in person you would see he is not very strong, gets easily pushed away from the basket, and just doesn’t play hard. I think it’s interesting that Bob Hull on one of the pregame shows sort of let the cat out of the bag when he stated the coaches were noting he had huge limitations as early as the closed scrimmage with Iowa. I think we’d all like to see him play and contribute but credit to the coaching staff for not playing him.

People got enamored with his PPG at UTSA without really accounting for the fact that UTSA was bad .. like really really bad.

I am skeptical that him coming in mid-year will result in any extra wins. I think there will be a better CHANCE at a couple extra wins. But I am not confident it will definitely happen. Need to see him on court for a few games first.

My thought is any "additional" good player we can add to our 7 man rotation is a good thing. Especially adding a good player at the point guard spot. If and it's a HUGE "if" (looking at you NCAA) we get him on the court...well...that's a good thing.

I’m on the low end of 15-18. I will be disappointed if they can’t win EIGHT more games. Not “throw the remote at the TV” disappointed, just bummed that the guys can’t beat many of the quad three and four opponents on the schedule. I predict they will beat a team none of us expect them to while losing to more than one or two teams we should absolutely annihilate. Roller coaster season.

We are already at 7 wins. We have 6 games against 200+ NET opponents (as of December 10). If we can't sweep those and snatch a few more to get into the 15-18 range (AT THE VERY LEAST), then we need to shut down the program.

Basically didn't put any away games in likely wins and instead are either losses or toss ups. For home games, most were toss ups unless it was one of the dominant teams or the extreme bottom dwellers.

So looking at the likely wins and losses it would move us to 12-9. So if we just split the toss ups we are at 17-14. So probably more wins that I initially expected when I opened this thread. That's because the AAC is actually well worse than I was thinking.
