      I said 15-18.

We are already at 7 wins. We have 6 games against 200+ NET opponents (as of December 10). If we can't sweep those and snatch a few more to get into the 15-18 range (AT THE VERY LEAST), then we need to shut down the program.
      78-65

Preseason I picked us 10-8 and 5th in Valley. Still hoping Cortes becomes eligible. Overall, I selected us in the 15-18 slot. The 3-8 place finish will be interesting and up for grabs with those 6 teams being similar in talent IMO.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Was South Dakota State this years' Alcorn State? If so, 15 or more MIGHT happen...BUT....
              -NO DEPTH
-can't take nights off with low energy
-one nagging question...how could Germany been(so far, anyway) such a miss?

I'll hang up and listen off the air....

Any worse than 5th in the AAC makes it a bad season - we should win 15-18 but 15 is more likely than 18

How are there people who see this team winning at least 12 more games?

                    10 or less? Dooms dayers
                    11-14? Realists
                    15-18? Optimists
                    18+? Delusional

Gonna look at remaining games with their current KP Rank

For reference WSU is currently 109 in KP.

                      Likely Losses
                      45 - KSU
                      10 KU
                      34 Memphis
                      20 @FAU
                      34 @ Memphis
                      20 FAU

                      Likely Wins
                      206 ECU
                      300 UTSA
                      196 Tulsa
                      161 Temple
                      229 Rice

                      Toss Ups
                      102 SIU
                      85 UNT
                      161 @ Temple
                      151 @ USF
                      78 SMU
                      191 @ Tulsa
                      206 @ ECU
                      122 @ Charlotte
                      171 UAB
                      104 @ Tulane

Basically didn't put any away games in likely wins and instead are either losses or toss ups. For home games, most were toss ups unless it was one of the dominant teams or the extreme bottom dwellers.

So looking at the likely wins and losses it would move us to 12-9. So if we just split the toss ups we are at 17-14. So probably more wins that I initially expected when I opened this thread. That's because the AAC is actually well worse than I was thinking.

EDIT: Sorry if anyone got tagged by accident due to the forum thinking I was tagging people instead of just typing an away game lol

The funky splits in league schedule could have an impact on our record. Looking at the current team records in our league, the bottom 6 teams so far in the non-con are Charlotte, North Texas, UTSA, UAB, South Florida, and Rice. I did not look at their strength of schedule so far. Nevertheless, we only play 1 of those 6 teams 2 times.

At the top so far in the non-com are Florida Atlantic, Memphis, Tulane, and Temple. We play all of them twice except for Tulane.

After playing SIU, our next 5 games include KU, Temple, Memphis, and FAU. Even with Cortes added, that could be rough on a short rotation.

No doubt Germany has been a huge miss. The expectations for a grad transfer is they should be playing a lot and he’s playing walk on minutes. If you’ve actually seen him play in person you would see he is not very strong, gets easily pushed away from the basket, and just doesn’t play hard. I think it’s interesting that Bob Hull on one of the pregame shows sort of let the cat out of the bag when he stated the coaches were noting he had huge limitations as early as the closed scrimmage with Iowa. I think we’d all like to see him play and contribute but credit to the coaching staff for not playing him.
