I just hope the NBAPA gets it figured out so the D-League guys can afford to stay here and play instead of having to go over seas to make a living. I'd hate to see him or Fred or anyone else with a real shot get overlooked because they can't afford to stay stateside.

KADEEM Coleby continues his professional basketball career in the Middle East with a new club in Bahrain. The former Wichita State Shocker has signed with Al Muharraq of Bahrain’s Premier League for the remainder of the season. He replaces Tyrann Walker, who was recently released from the Al Muharraq roster.
Coleby, 27, was a key member in Al Manama’s title run last season – their fourth consecutive and 20th overall. He finished with 23 points in the season finale.

Bahrain (pop. 1.3 million, less than half of Kansas) has a premier league?
Maybe someday he can get into the Qatar league.
I don't mean to make fun of the achievements of a former Shocker. It's just amazing to me there's any organized basketball at all in those small mid-eastern countries, let alone the paying kind.

At one time I worked for a company that was owned by a Sheik in Qatar. His annual allowance was reportedly around $100M. I think it was cut back a little when they were awarded the World Cup.
The average income is around $250,000.
Bahrain is not far behind. Lots and Lots of big $$$ there also.
The average net worth of a citizen of Dubai is $17m

Was wondering about Toure and found out that he signed with Yesilgiresun Belediye of the Turkish Super League last December. He was teammates with one Malcolm Armstead. I say was because he apparently parted ways with YB last Friday. Malcolm is averaging 12.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.
