When the opposing team is on its heels and is saved by a media timeout, the band will still play to keep the crowd energized. No kiss cam or anything dumb like that to sap the momentum of the energy in the building.

It won't happen because we rely on those corporate partnerships to help fund our program and athletics department...but it would be nice if regular season games operated like postseason NIT games do without the promotions stuff during the media timeout.
Pick the biggest game of the year, and go no ads.We wouldn't lose that much money because every game seats the same 10,506 (unlike TV ads), and would be a big plus for our momentum and a fun experience for the fans

The sponsors would have a cow over that because of their contracts with the athletics department. That would have to be written into each and every contract at the beginning of the year...that one game would be exempt from corporate deals. Pretty sure that wouldn't fly.

Because ShockerVision is going away after this season, I believe. Live streaming will be in the hands of Elgin Productions.

Since CBS Sports owns the media rights, they could show games on their channel and/or website

Dislike the in game promos, but all other advertising is useful.

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I have thought when listening to the Coach's weekly show and to the pregame show that if some of these callers would visit ShockerNet they would already have the answer to many of their questions. Like the guy last night wanting to know if the Shockers were recruiting Semi Ojeleye.

I feel like we Shockernet folk could really do a lot to improve the coach's ability to enjoy putting on the show with Mike Kennedy if we were to call in more actively. I can say with 100% certainty that almost NONE of us ever do because of the quality of the questions alone.

Imagine if @im4wsu: called in with awesome analysis of metrics. He might come away with a job on the bench after a season of doing that. :) or if none other than Cold called in to absolutely roast the upcoming opponent and their fans. Would coach not at least get a laugh out of that? Maybe JH4P could call in right after an idiot caller and shred that illogical question for the frustrated HCGM who can't really do that on air.

                        I'm just saying.

I've noticed that ever since I joined SN, I've gradually stopped using any other media outlet in Wichita. Usually an article in the Eagle or a newscast will have info that I learned a week ago. The only place that ever gives me anything I didn't see coming is Paul S. SN is really a good thing.

Even our "I heard it from my neighbor's brother's cousin's dentist's ex-girlfriend" rumors tend to be relatively accurate. We haven't had any black-helicopter type rumors. The most recent rumors that had a lot of those types of informants were that CF was coming to WSU and certain injuries. And all of those have tended to be accurate. Sometimes among the bickering you forget that we're a pretty cool community.

If you responded with "Shockernet", your entire survey got tossed out, just in case you the well-known bastard in the AD's "circle of trust" known as @ShockerFever: -- wait no, ShockerFev. There's NO WAY they are taking advice from "that guy". ;)

The survey is still open. I unloaded on the atmosphere-killing music associated with the pre-game music during the player video. I was better in the past but right now, it's awful and brings the excitement to a screeching halt.

It is a song called Warriors, by the Imagine Dragons. I wasn't a big fan at first, but it has really grown on me. The song in it's entirety is actually a pretty decent pre-game pump up song. Plus, how can you not love an intro song who's chorus is "we are the warriors who built this town"? How appropriate, in WSU's case.

But yes, it is more of a pop-rock song, as apposed to a rap/hip-hop type of song that is much more common for intros. It does come off sounding a little different for an intro.
