Dana Ford leaving for assistant position at Illinois State

Really really hate losing Ford.

Dana was able to get a higher level of high school recruit than previous assistants, and for that I thank him.

Hopefully we're able to get as good or better of a coach.

Of course on the Redbird board chatter has already started about FVV and his connection to Dana. FVV seems to be a man who sticks to his word so hopefully he is still strongly on board with WSU even with the news that Dana has left.

Dana was good at connecting to the young kids and had that Chicago connection. We'll miss him for sure.

I don't blame Dana for going home and taking an Associate Head Coach position. It is rather amusing he was the only one of our coaches to say he wasn't going anywhere.

I'm thinking someone younger. Would also be nice if we could find someone with connections to states like Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana. Lots of talent there. We already have connections in the South. That or find someone to hit up the West coast.
