    Well, we are talking about the NCAA after all, so no surprise...
    100% designed that way to rig the system and favor the P-5 in order to hopefully eliminate 95% of the non P-5 schools for the Sweet-16...and 99.9% by the time the Final Four comes around.

    You can only have 1 non P-5 team in any given Final Four. I believe it's an NCAA law.

    Who does Fairleigh Dickenson play in the Round of 32? Who does Florida Atlantic play in the Round of 32? Designed.

    I recall a #1 being sent to Indy a few years ago that had to play Kentucky in the same scenario. Lexington and most of Kentucky population was only a couple hours drive away.

    Bad memories, that was in St Louis, point stands.

    …….No justification for that whatsoever. If you are worried about 8/9s playing a conference rival in the round of 32 to the point you give Auburn a home game, change the seed line on them. Lazy asses.
