Years ago after WSU lost to Arkansas in a baseball regional coached by Dave "the butcher" Van Horn Arkansas had a dance team for the baseball club that would dance on the dugouts. GS tried to implement a similar dance group at WSU. Lasted one year if not shorter. Kind of tawdry and the blue hairs did not cotton to it at all because the presidents wife attended those games in those days.

Rumors now are that Kevin Johnson, assistant coach at Tulane, will be named the new head basketball coach at Southern University.


Not happy that Dunkel may have been correct.

To be fair, that Coaching Changes account didn't seem to have any official knowledge. That account said it was a done deal last Friday, and since then...radio silence. I would imagine that Kunkel had more first-hand knowledge. Again, that could change.

He could, he could not be. Should he be looking for a job if he doesn't want it? I would not fault the guy either way. He's certainly not required to do so and owes WSU nothing at this point.
