Read the article and leaving out the sarcastic remarks and condescending narrative he does point out several of the things that we have been aware of for quite some time. Big money in the form of NIL has only made the rich richer and the transfer portal has done the same. So if you disregard the rest of the narrative he has hit upon two topics that we at SN have been aware of for the better part of a year now. So why did it take him this long to write about it? Perhaps he needed a victim . Well WSU has been the victim for the last year and IB was its latest casualty and now its suddenly op/ed worthy. Hmmm

True. But why indeed did he wait so long? It’s all agenda driven with him. And, the bigger problem, it’s impossible to “leave out the sarcastic remarks and condescending narrative”. It’s how he rolls and is ALWAYS very one sided…and, most with credibility issues due to all that. Sometimes, you get the feeling that he truly dislikes living in Wichita…always yearning for his life previously in California. I’d be happy to help buy him a bus ticket so that he could move back.

What an absolute ****ing joke of an article. I expect better from the Eagle. Basically saying WSU is a mid major program that shouldn’t expect anything better than the last 2 seasons. Smfh. Hope we go get Jans and pay him big bucks.

there appear to bew quite a few people in Wichita who were glad to see Marshall resign because he was so mean. Those same people are upset that Brown was fired because he was such a nce guy.

Those people have not figured out that winning games is what pays the bills. They also haven't participated in sports in a competitive environment. I don't remember many "nice" coaches all the way back to the grade school level.

Fair. I do like both of them. Just feels like over half of the coverage is syndicated from the KC Star or the AP. Local coverage is either anti-Wichita or overly political.

I know this is a thread about Brown being fired so I won't go on and derail. Just my 2 cents on our local media.
