I heard on 810 this morning from CJ Moore (Athletic) that second time transfers (that are using mental problems as a reason) are going to be seriously scrutinized this year. In the past if the school signed off that they were chasing them off, there was little scrutiny, but no more.

In other words, they will pick and choose which players and schools get waivers.

PG: Cortes, Rogers, Joy (work in progress)
SG: Rogers, Bell, Beverly, Ricks
SF: Beverly, Ricks, DeGrey (I think he gets waiver)
PF: DeGrey, Abidde, (Pohto if he stays)
C: Germany, Ballard, (Pohto if he stays)

My guess on starters:
PG: Cortes
SG: Rogers
SF: Beverly
PF: Pohto (or DeGrey)
C: Germany

IF no DeGrey waiver but we get Pohto, then okay. If no Pohto, but we get DeGrey waiver, then okay. If neither, then PF is a MUST.

On PG, I think Cortes and Rogers got it locked but I would not be surprised to see another PG picked up. Just my two cents as we wait for final 2 scholarships.

According to 247 top picks 97 of the top 100 have already declared and one of the three that has not is Walton

Germany at 226.

Those are the only ones I'm finding in their top 229. Would have thought Beverly might be in there somewhere but I'm not seeing him on the list.

That's a big reason for my skepticism for the upcoming season. Mills may be a much better coach than Brown, but I'm not convinced the roster will be at all improved. At this point Germany looks like a contributor and Joy is an X-factor, but the new names we've got are viewed by the broader basketball world as worse than those we lost. And there aren't any big names left for us to snag. Major work will need to be done in development and JuCo recruiting to make up for the lack of star transfers and recruits.

Well, it’s safe to say he knows the impending doom that awaits him for blaspheming the top of totem pole of the protected classes.
