thanks guys. I've been critical of the under-performance. But the team has gotten away from the 3's and are fighting. WSU might just make some noise in the American tournament. (of course I'm not ruling out a meltdown similar to Tulsa last year).

I think we can all admit that the team tonight is much more what we expect from Shocker Basketball. Even with the loss, proud of the way we played.

Memphis made 3 more three’s (we were 22%}. They also made 8 more free throws than the shocks. That’ll do it most times, although I thought we played about as good as we could expect.

Rojas' limited impact in the 2nd half hurt. Also, Memphis seemed to hit several clutch 3s down the stretch.

I will never understand HCIBs substitution patterns. Abidde has been playing a bunch the last few games. This feels like a game his athleticism would be helpful. But instead Okafor who hasn't played in nearly a month plays..

Other than the obvious 3 pt shooting woes, this team played a good game. I am proud of the effort. We just dont shoot the ball well enough or have enough athletes to overcome it. I have to say that this is, in its current form, a team worth watching and cheering for. They play hard. I liked what I saw from an effort and grit perspective.

I was stunned by the TO that IB called after the dunk. Imo you let that play out a bit and see what happens. We had big mo on our side and he wasted it. The next whistle was probably going to be under 8:00 and you get a free TO there. At first I thought Penny had called it. Imagine my surprise when it was IB.

Since this was the first game I attended this year let me say that the in game production was light years ahead of last year. For those of you that met with the AD on this, let me give kudos to you, and the Athletic Department for listening. I really enjoyed the entire experience tonight.

We have some talent on this team. I hope we can hang on to it for next year and bring in a lot more depth.

I was sitting across from Wessel and Baker. I don't think we lost this many home games in 4 years when those guys were here. This team has talent but they don't have that determination to win. Marshall was a winner. He instilled winning in his teams. His players believed they were going to win. IB won the most games of his head coaching career the 1st half of his first season. The Marshall carryover effect wore off and the team took on IB's nice guy personality. It's not changing until we change the leadership.

I thought it was strange also. The only thing I could think of that made sense is that he knows his team isn't deep and wanted to try and get two back to back time outs to rest them up for the end of the game.

1 or 2 questionable fouls on Rojas hurt us when he was having a great night. I was pleased with our effort. Bottom line is they just shot much better than we did. Losses just don't seem as painful as they used to. Over and out.
