but yes "conveniently" the side the camera is on has consistently been fuller all season that the side the camera shows. (This is likely because the ticketing system seems to sell 108 first when selecting a section, I've noticed this in TBT tickets. I buy the second they go live and always end up in 108. The camera is at the top of 108)

But challenge away from your data you have from your couch.

EDIT: Just did a test with the USF game .. If you just select Upper Chairback (cheapest chairback seats) it assigns you in 107, so camera side. This matches with my experience. The system assigns the camera side first (probably just because its a lower number) which explains the "convenient" aspect of this. Also was shocked to see single game tickets for USF at 30-75 .. with everything non GA at 40 ... all before fees. That also explains why it might be lower attendance. (though they do have a GA BOGO offer it appears)
The upper bowl on the camera side are also individual chairbacks, versus the bench-style on the team bench side. So that may be why the camera side gets preference. I will say, I really don't like the bench-style seats at all. By halftime the back of my legs hurt. It's an age and injury thing for me, so I'd gladly pay a few more bucks for a chairback.

    • Slight change of subject (didn’t want to start a new topic).

Not that I believe the Shocks have a shot at winning the conference tournament, I think - given the way the team has played recently (a little better), the best seed they could realistically get, would be the 6th seed. I think this give them the best chance of moving into Saturday. I don’t see us moving past that, maybe not even that far if we are the 7th seed.

Unless, by some miracle, Houston and Memphis get beat along the way…they’ll obviously be in the Championship game.

I think the Shocks have evolved into a dangerous, spoiler type of team. It wouldn't surprise me if they made the conference semis. I could even see them sneaking in to the championship game if they played their best game of the year in the semis.

On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise me if they lose their first game.

Looking at remaining schedules I'd say Tulane is more likely to finish in second so I'd almost rather fall to the seven. And that's very likely considering how easy UCF's remaining schedule is

Williams is 26, Dandridge is 23. Yes, he was overmatched but those dudes should be playing in the G League at their age.

Has Durr returned? Had he stayed healthy we wouldn't be able to pass them in the standings. They really struggled after his injury

I was there. Attendance was better than the last 3-4 games. Probably 6,500 to 7,000. The crowd noise was just okay. Again, better than this Year’s “Normal”.

Yes. He's played in the last 3 games, the last two being for 29 and 25 minutes.

                  • Speaking of Durr, have we heard anything on Ballard in the last month? Is there any hope for him to see the court again this year?

Saw Taylor on Twitter say that he is done for the year and they are hoping for a medical redshirt.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

One of the most physically rugged guards. To me that is the biggest difference between the two. His on-ball defense is the biggest difference. Defensively there is no comparison. It was very difficult to rattle TM when he had the ball in his hands. A very steady presence. And no, CP is in no way an NBA prospect, although he'll make a nice living playing overseas. Just my 2 cents.
Well stated. I noticed last night that CP threw at least 2 passes that bounced of Memphis players ankles in the first half alone, and then in the closing minutes dribbled the ball of a Tigers' foot (I guess better than his, this time...) yet GoShockers box score shows no turnovers. Huh? As far as shooting goes, yes, he's a "Chucker."

He's a good player and I'm not pointing fingers, but WSU has not won a game that was in the balance the last few minutes other than Temple the other night, for the last 2 years. Like one of our trusted ShockerNetters, who rarely is prone to verbosity, observed last week "WSU has to be the worst ball handling team in D1." Amen.

Just the week before WSU won a close SMU game in which Porter basically took over

We're now the spoiler team and not THE team. This sucks.
