Incredibly proud of those guys on the court tonight. They gave everything they had. Houston made a few more plays at the end and had fresher legs and more depth. But that effort works every freaking time.

Anyone who was rooting for this team to lose so that IB wouldn't have a chance of saving his job can just go really **** right off. This team fought hard as hell and hustled their asses off. Just a few turnovers at inopportune times, and a few 3 pointers by Houston down the stretch and that was the difference in the game. Against the number 3 team in the country. The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Nothing to be ashamed about tonight.
But here’s the problem. That effort easily handles Alcorn State and ECU. That effort gives us a few more plays to pull out wins against Missouri and Tulane. 15-7 vs 11-11.
You can easily tell the difference in culture. Down the stretch, the Houston bench was very much engaged in the game. Our bench was not. Gregg would MF people into getting energized. IB just doesn’t have that in him.Last edited by WuShock16; February 3, 2023, 07:28 AM.78-65

For the who played, can not question it. They gave all they had.
I kept wondering,... it's a 40 minute game... why isn't IB substituting anyone? Anyone please.
But noticed over and over, only KW, CP and KP are UH athletic equivalent. But ran out of gas.
Knew UH would wear WSU dudes down and get out of town with a 'W'...
Not sure how...but WSU and those in control need to have talks with KW and keep him in town - dude can play with anyone out there.
Athletic freaks are in short supply and high demand. KW fits the bill.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

I was waiting for the Houston run, good game and effort though
I've ragged on JR a couple times this year as his game was and still is ugly. But that dude gives about as much effort in games as anyone I've ever seen. He must be putting the effort in practice as well, as his game is consistently getting better. He needs to work on keeping his emotions in check though.
If these guys can keep this up the rest of the season, they shouldn't lose more than 2 or 3 more games.
Trick will be holding onto key players and strengthening the lineup with a quality point guard, another big, and a couple shooters.

I'm assuming you are referring to Jaykwon Walton?
And IB did sub... But the drop off is drastic to the bench.

IB's teams bear no resemblance to Cohen, Thompson or Smithson teams. Ray Charles emphatically agrees...Last edited by ShockingButTrue; February 3, 2023, 05:54 AM.
