The last 4 minutes of garbage time was BS. Especially when D2 Bell hit his only trey of the night.
UC had already called the airport and had the jet warming well before WSU scored their meaningless BS points at the end to make it look somewhat respectable.
This team is a disaster, a direct result of some piss poor recruiting and low end transfer grabs.
Tulsa, maybe USFare possible W's...and whole lot of losing otherwise for the rest of the season.
I really thought we would never see the same Shiit from the 90's again. Well, now WSU fans really know what deja vu looks like.
That is all.Above all, make the right call.

Actually, if Flanagan had not hit his crazy off balance 3 point jumpers, this would look more like the game it really was - a 20+ point blow out.
Fortunately, the schedule makers did WSU a break (not intentionally, but nonetheless) having USF and Tulsa on the horizon.
Possible W's there and better enjoy them while they last!

“I’ve got to go back to practice and do the same things that I’ve been doing to get these guys to understand when you don’t defend like you need to, you’re not going to win basketball games,” Brown said.
I have an idea. Bear with me here. If something isn't working, try something different.

Back to Abidde - he should get at least 20 min / game the rest of the way. Start developing for next year.
As to Abidde, I think he has a high upside that we will never see under Brown. He's got good energy and looks like a guy that could develop, if there was anyone to develop him. The right coach will get to see much of that potential. I have no idea why he's been buried on the bench. When given some extended time he makes some things happen. There were times on offense where he was the only Shocker going for the rebound. Or only he and Pohto. Maybe after ECU running down the court on us the idea was to just get back and play D when a shot/chuck went up.
And Pohto has shown signs of what he can be. The kid may have the highest BBIQ on the team and when he asserts himself, good things happen. But it's funny/sad when even the announcers praise him and his work inside and comment on how he hasn't touched the ball in 7 minutes or whatever. That's lack of coaching. Going a few possessions with players not doing what they need to is one thing, but to go long periods of time not going to what has worked is absolutely lack of leadership from the bench.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

Pohto can be a good center. He has all the things you could ask for, size, good hands, good moves, passes out of the post, can rebound and block shots, can hit some outside shots (although that’s been off this year). The biggest issue with Pohto is that the offense we “run” is not designed for him. 3G liked to run the offense through the post, which is why guys like Shaq, Garrett, etc were all league players. You don’t kick 7 footers with skills to the curb if you can hang onto them, they are way to hard to find.

But this discussion was also based around a perfect world where if we could choose. I'm also on record as saying I don't care if they all leave as long as we hire someone competentInfinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

If we have another mass exodus, and i suspect we will, our AD needs to incorporate player retention as a part of the next coaches contract. It’s an important factor in team success and a huge new issue in college basketball. The coach should be held accountable in keeping his team together the best he can.
