In case you didn't click on it, Hokies hire James Johnson.

Seth obviously has issues. I believe he lost 6 assistants over 3 years and Johnson was one of them. As the article states, he didn't leave VT because Clemson was offering more money. How many transfers has VT had over the past 5 years? I'd be curious if it's higher than average. Or was he just good at chasing off assistants?

I thought he was a good hire, but I wouldn't want him anywhere near my program.

Maybe the Bobby Lutz in Greensboro was our own glorious Eagle sports columnist flying his chartered jet to the meeting.

And why would WaPo's "multiple people familiar with the coaching search who were granted anonymity to speak freely" not mention Marshall when they had no problem mentioning Lutz?
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Gee, that's easy -- Marshall was never a contender (which realistically, there was never any reason to think he would be, of course, not that anything so sensible would stop marty from worrying now that we're into that long, looooong offseason where there's nothing else to do).

Either that, or it better fits the spy novel that Spaulding is working on. Yeah, that's it! No one mentioned Marshall because they were under orders to keep the contact with him secret. So his not being mentioned proves 3G was the target all along. Of course -- why did it take the rest of us so long to figure it out? You da man, Spaulding.

Spaulding is just stirring the pot. His assertions never made any sense.

Simmer down nancies! My gosh, some of you really need to relax. If you read my posts, I actually said that I didn't think Marshall would take the job if offered. I never posted anything saying Marshall was the guy or being pursued. I posted what I thought were interesting tidbits that I thought others might find intriguing. No stirring the pot or anything remotely like that. This is called a MESSAGE board. It is a place where all of us can gather and post information and opionions on all things Wichita State.
