WOW. That’s a ringing endorsement for their Head Coach over IB. Recruiting now, is who gets the better transfers from another team.

Despite Houston being ranked #1 in the NET the AAC as a conference is only ranked 9th. Behind the P-5, Big East, Mountain West (5th) and the West Coast Conference (8th).

Conference USA and the WAC (believe it or not) are 10th and 11th.

        The Missouri Valley is 14th.

The MAC is 17th and the Summit is 24th.

I looked at Kenpom and it appears our best win is Grand Canyon in the 120's on Kenpom. They predict we will go 2 and 5 in our last 7 games with home wins against SMU and USF. Predicted losses are UCF, Temple, Memphis, Tulane, Houston. Sad times for the Shocks.

Shocks will take UCF, SMU, and USF for sure. And 1 and possibly 2 of the remaining games. Memphis in Wichita is not off the table, nor is Tulane on the road. Maybe you all have missed it but the Shocks have been playing good ball of late. They’ve taken their last two road opponents to the woodshed and played the #3 team in the country down to the wire before they ran out of gas. They may even be able to slide into fifth place in the conference (unlikely I’ll admit).

Your "for sure" is in your eyes only. Nothing is for sure with this team yet. While they have played much better of late, they still don't have 5 solid players on each end when at their best. And the bench is still sorely lacking.
Anything is possible and the 3 games you mentioned as "for sure" are likely wins, but "for sure" is a bit of a stretch.

I hope you're right. Any of those 5 will become our best Kenpom win of the year if we do win any of them. UCF 63, Temple 109, Memphis 41, Tulane 80, Houston 1. We're 3 and 3 in our last 6 games. Losses to Memphis, Tulane, and Houston. Wins against SMU 190, East Carolina 213, Tulsa 264.

Well ATx, I trust my eyes a little more than I trust yours. As I recall you were one of the ones telling me I was crazy when I was stating that we weren’t going to lose any games by 30, let alone multiples. How’s that working out? Correct me if I’m wrong, but we haven’t lost any game by more than 10. So yeah, I think we’re going to win more than we lose of these remaining 7 games.

Woodrow, I can’t argue your stats, they are what they are (4 of the 6 games on the road btw). But we are getting better every game. I think with the exception of Porter, all of our starters have improved significantly over the last 10 games, and we’ve been in all of the most recent games against the top teams. I’d go so far as to say we have one of the top starting fives in the conference. I don’t pay too much heed to the Kenpom numbers this year. WSU, Temple, and Tulane were brutal at the start of the year and are all probably much better now than their current rankings indicate.

Glad you're so confident, I am not. I don't recall debating anything about a 30 point loss, but I may have because this team was a joke untill they started running a real offensive.
