It's especially nice that Marshall can do his own recruiting instead of relying on the baseball staff to funnel players to the basketball team.

Marshall may also have learned his lesson with Coy (who certainly made the right choice, by the way) -- better to pick his own guys that he knows he can count on.

I know we all can bash on Turgeons flaws now...but the man did go to the Sweet 16 at Wichita State, he did not capitalize on that success AT ALL...I am happy we got Marshall, but I will not just forget what Turgeon did here, but in hindsight I am glad of our current situation and would not trade it for anything.

Turgeon was/is a coward that couldn't get it done in Omaha or Carbondump. If I would have known we were going to get a real coach with a set of balls when he left, I wouldn't have been so redassed about the whole deal.

Say what you want about Turgeon. One thing is undeniable. If MT (and JS) had not spent 7+years of their lives getting our program where it was when he left (empty cupboard and all) we would never have been in a position to hire HCGM.
